JC coach of the year, book it! He’s done more with less over his short tenure here than the previous two did in eight years. He and his staff are a class act!
Pickett’s getting ROY and it’s well deserved. Can’t wait to seee all he accomplishes over his career.
This may not be the most talented bunch but they play as a TEAM. I’m having so much fun watching this group gut out wins.
Oh and Smithen was just flat out the man today. He played great defense. Fisher again was tired but he kept pushing on with another great effort. If that MAAC had a most improved player, he’d be a lock.
Let’s keep the train rolling!

And lucky, too..........not that there's anything wrong with having some luck on your side. Broncs go 1-16 on three-pointers. Manny 4-10 on free-throws. Saints have two consecutive possessions around the 1:00 mark, with the game on the line, and they don't get off a shot. Give up 15 offensive rebounds. But when you win, none of that really matters. I'll gladly take that kind of luck all the way to the NCAA Tournament. . Yup! The difference between winning is so small sometimes. Even this year we were losing those games early. But they have learned just enough to get over the hump. That’s what patsos and fans of patsos didn’t get.

Co-coach of the year wears a jersey with #32 on it. Just watch who the last one JC talks to every time-out. And watch him sometimes shake his head "no", then go out make things happen. A lot of, almost all of you were, "low D-1 or D-2 talent". Just shows how much you know. The biggest loss next year is going to be his leadership. He is a captain's captain, and it has been 45+ years since I wore a "C". The seniors are going to be missed more than you think next year. Someone posted earlier in the thread, "this team plays like a team" and I agree 100%. Watching them move the ball, is almost like watching the Harlem Globetrotters at times. 17 has done a terrific job with these "lovable mutts", I hope next year's team has the guts these guys have.

CapCom needs a new video for this year. Horn and Penn, among others, are not part of the program.

This might be early but if Siena foolishly extended Patsos- Christian should go back to a 5 year deal and a nice bump in pay. I know he’s not going to be here a long time but I hope he at least gives us 4 years hopefully 5. Lock out anyone but a power 6 job.

And thank GOD JC put him in a position to show what he was capable of... l said it repeatedly that Evan should be playing around the hoop and not the perimeter. Why no. 16 couldn’t see it was beyond me! Three years wasted. I’m just happy that he Smithen and Degnan are having a memorable senior year and ending thier college careers on a positive note!

I think Evan has had a fabulous year and has outperformed everyone's expectations. But, taking nothing away from his obvious leadership skills, it is the unbelievable to me that you would diminish Jamison's accomplishments by trying to make Evan the co-coach. Why has Evan been so successful this year? In large measure it is because he has a coach who has put him in a position to succeed, unlike 16.

KS, the point is that JC does not suit up. JC has absolutely transformed this team. In a really bad analogy, JC has redesigned the bus. EF keeps the bus between the lines. I am sorry but this team is 4 or 5 fewer wins without #32's leadership, JC or not. I have no idea if you ever played a game, I respect your insight and insider knowledge, and I freely admit, I am not a basketball guru, but i do understand who the guys are that get you the "W", irrespective of the sport. Isn't his name Jamion??? Some homework needed.

Evan is definitely a key contributor, but this team wins as a team and staying cohesive. You could say Evan facilitates that cohesiveness, but again everyone buys in and makes it work.

And he has a freshman teammate that can feed him the ball in positions where he is able to finish. Taking nothing away from Evan as he has far exceeded everyone’s expectations this year but I think he would be the first to tell you that he owes a chunk of his success to 22.

If the team tanks it’s JC’s fault. If it does well it’s a team effort. 😜
“Success has many fathers, failure is an orphan”
Another coach that just left had more ingredients than JC had. Give JC a lot of credit, if not all. It’s his team win or lose.

We have come a long way in an unbelievably short period of time - a year ago we were arguing about who was at fault now we are debating who is responsible for our resurgence - teams are made up of many pieces - we have one that has many pieces all tied together in a cohesive unit that works well together - you have to recognize the players and the coaches on an equal footing - they compliment each other - JC's systems are quite obviously well designed and well presented - wonder how many D1 teams will have assistants that are specialists and coordinators rather than rotating scouts/coaches? Our D is the most impressive aspect - we NEVER played D like these kids do

The team is winning the possession battle on offense by taking more shots per game due mainly to turnover margin and out shooting their Opponent from 3 point. Obviously defense is the main catalyst to their success this season. It’s important to note that they still ranked in the bottom 100 of the ncaa so it will be interesting to see how the new players will have an impact on the national rankings.
