Here's an interesting stat- Christian was 101-95 (.515) over at MSM but if you take out the 0-27 against Power 5 teams, Big East plus one game each against Gonzaga, BYU he is 101-68 (.598).
Plus he wins at home but doesn't get to play there a lot as the Mount were often on the road many more times especially in the OOC. Hard to start a season with 8 or 9 straight road games. I'm not saying it will turn out the same (we can certainly hope for it) but his resume is very similar to Fran.
Edit: Had two non D1 wins both last year.

Now that this is all settled, what a few weeks. At the end of the season it seemed like Patsos was back and the program would continue to plummet. Even though the administration was far from flawless, if I knew towards the end of the season that JC would be our new coach and Patsos would have a minimal payout it would seem like a major accomplishment. Time for our posts to be less stressed and pessimistic and become more about excitement and optimism. Let's enjoy the rebuild it looks like we finally have a good coach again.

You guys just hired a promising young coach who is connected with the Shaka smart tree I believe. I saw one game of his on tv and the announcers were gushing over his future in the game. He really doesn't need to see fans of his team sizing up the way his future wife looks.

Anyone know whether JC is an Under Armour guy or a Nike guy? Hoping Nike...hate how those UA kicks slipped all over the floor and possibly exacerbated injuries, if rumors are to be believed.

MSM is a UA school and he’s spent his entire career in the DMV (UA’s main turf) before this, so I’d assume he’s a UA guy.

His next stop was William and Mary, and they are Nike. Then he made a brief stop at VCU, who was also Nike.

Congrats to Siena - it sure appears that they got this one right! Listened to his presser and love his passion for playing the game, the high standards he will hold players to, and his emphasis on loving these young men and helping them become all they are capable of becoming. He seems like a true leader, someone the kids will immediately listen to and work hard for. I noted in the player interviews afterward that they were pumped and ready to go. Siena has taken a big first step in getting the program back on track and back to being competitive. As fans, I suggest we jump in 100% to support this coach and look forward to a return to excitement at the TUC. Yes, I am interested in who will be on this team, but I am not in the least concerned about who is leaving and who is staying and who he is bringing in. Reason is that a player does not stand alone. The player has to fit his system of play and if the player does, then "Mayhem" will happen and he will choose the players - present or those yet to come who can contribute to bring Siena success. This coach and what will become his team is really a combination I can root for loud and clear at many, many, many games for years to come! Can I say it loud and clear once again with meaning - Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!! That's the positive and exciting attitude I love to hear. Let's all try to be positive. ( at least until the first loss)
