Jayden, who is more of a “proven winner” in your eyes - jimmy p or jamion? Jamion has two conference championships in a league that is traditionally a crapshoot. Jimmy only had one in 14 years. Not a slight against JP by any means, but D'Arg did an excellent job here given the circumstances.

In addition, Jamion had three players transfer to P5 schools the last two years. That's not great in terms of roster continuity, but it says a lot about the talent he brings in.

And a reg season title. That’s 3 titles in 12 tries compared to jimmys 1 of 28 (1 of 18 prior to hire).

Interesting there was no buyout involved that was "fake news". Glad Siena took their time before offering Jamion. They need to get this right. The money saved by not having to pay a buyout is hopefully used to get a better assistant pool and for the recruiting budget. It's a 5 year deal for Jamion. Be interesting to see what is compensation is but that probably won't be released now. He had a long term deal (until 2027!) at MSM so I'm sure he's confident in himself doing a great job at Siena and taking the next step up in his coaching career. <iframe width="11.199999999999989" height="4.199999999999989" style="position: absolute; width: 11.2px; height: 4.2px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 12px; top: 68px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_95066727" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11.199999999999989" height="4.199999999999989" style="position: absolute; width: 11.2px; height: 4.2px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 510px; top: 68px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_48487149" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11.199999999999989" height="4.199999999999989" style="position: absolute; width: 11.2px; height: 4.2px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 12px; top: 223px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82903442" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11.199999999999989" height="4.199999999999989" style="position: absolute; width: 11.2px; height: 4.2px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 510px; top: 223px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82278853" scrolling="no"></iframe> According to a friend of Christian, Singelais, unlike Wyland, has the story correct. There was NO offer to Christian until yesterday. . I give no credit to Rodger. Siena was doing its due diligence, something it’s fans asked for, and all he did was try to muck it up.

I heard on Wyland's radio show that the buyout was around $200,000.00.He also stated that Petino was also in the mix and he had no buyout, was also willing to take $350,000.00 -$400,000.00 with no bonus's for wins or attendance according to Wyland. If that is the case then yes,it was a terrible choice.Just saying!GO SAINTS!!

Pitino was never coming here. A franciscan school was not hiring Pitino.
