By all accounts great young gentleman. Intelligent, charamatic, can recruit, hard worker. Downside perhaps a 500 coach, but has revived the program at his current position. Question is why is he leaving, has a supposed 10 yr. contract, he signed last year. Is there a challenge with him and the school. Face it Siena isn’t th big of a jump, he takes the position (reports still in question) how long before he jumps ship.
Look forward to watching him revive the program.

Interesting there was no buyout involved that was "fake news".
Glad Siena took their time before offering Jamion. They need to get this right.
The money saved by not having to pay a buyout is hopefully used to get a better assistant pool and for the recruiting budget.
It's a 5 year deal for Jamion. Be interesting to see what is compensation is but that probably won't be released now. He had a long term deal (until 2027!) at MSM so I'm sure he's confident in himself doing a great job at Siena and taking the next step up in his coaching career.

Who cares about what Siena’s paying him. Let’s get him here and get to work after the honeymoon.

Ryan Peters @pioneer_pride
Jamion's heavy into analytics, likes to employ a system that makes opponents uncomfortable on offense. He'll apply pressure D - full & half court - have his guys shoot lots of 3s and look to prevent his opponent's 3PT looks. Despite this MO, he'll adapt/adjust style when needed.
I think Jamion and KK are going to get along just fine!! So he knows his PPS average needs to go up then...

Mark Singelais · 1h Contrary to reports, there’s no buyout involved in Siena’s hiring of new coach Jamion Christian, per a source close to the situation. The reason the deal wasn’t done sooner is Siena was also talking to other candidates and hadn’t offered Christian the job yet.

I may be wrong but if this young man is the hard working and diligent coach that we think he is, he will probably be telling his sweetie that the honeymoon is going to have to wait a month or two. The clock is ticking.

Jayden, who is more of a “proven winner” in your eyes - jimmy p or jamion?

There was NO offer to Christian until yesterday.
