how can you possibly grade/credit this when we don't have any results............from the initial surface of this selection, all looks good & positive............but as we have had the same type feeling with others brought in, we won't know for sure until we see what develops on the hardwood.............cautiously optimistic for sure, but that's all we have right now............... That's kind of true, but you should go on record as to whether you approve or disapprove of the hire. Nothing is guaranteed and easy to criticize somebody for a decision 2 or more years after the fact. If you don't like the hire, it's certainly fair to criticize JD if he tanks, but if you like it...... Go all in. oh, I like the hire, just injecting the reality of the situation...........it wouldn't matter who was hired, hard to say anyone would be a bonafide homerun (I guess unless it was Pitino).......everything is super positive for sure.........he is already ahead of Patsos on the recruiting trend, kind of makes you mad that the last guy seemed less than motivated until he found out his arse was hanging over a roaring fire.............

If Christian works out...the template is clear for the future. A young up and coming head coach with multiple championships under his belt. That WAS the template until Mitch and Jimmy were hired. John Griffin, Mike Deane, Bob Beyer, Paul Hewitt, Louis Orr, Rob Lanier and Fran McCaffery all fit that template.

If the template as defined above is as I understand it (i.e., previous HC experience), then many of these coaches do not fit that bill.

Fran and Jimmy were basically the same age when they took over at Siena and both were sitting head coaches. Interesting this will be the fourth consecutive time Siena has hired a coach with D1 head coach experience, 3 of them being current HC in D1. Jamion fits the young part though only Mitch, Fran and JP were over 40 years of age.

Should probably read the entire post more carefully from now on. Will try to do better. 😇
