Until we get a coach the defections will continue. Hopefully this wraps up soon, have to stop the bleeding and get some players in here

In Singlais's article, Oduro's prep school coach says "Siena is not doing right by a kid..." But what school gives a blanket release? Siena asked for him to provide them "with a list of schools he'd like to be in contact with which we have not yet received." Siena has always granted a release, but it's understandable and only reasonable that it has to have some contingencies-(can't transfer to another league school or rival)-like a non-compete clause in business. Not sure I like the tone of those in Oduro's camp. He was given the keys to the kingdom and treated, well,- princely. He knows he did not have to earn all those mins and needs to get out of town before the new coach comes and let's players earn time in practice. All 3 of Patsos' favorite freshmen asked for their release. And the players he recruited over are happy and will probably stay.

Sammy Friday just became the guy....and my prediction.....he won't disappoint. I for one think when given the chance he will produce more than Prince would have. With new coach, and new opportunity, he will shine. A good foul shooter with a good low post game who gets offensive rebounds and can get to the line, if he works hard on his strength and endurance this summer, he will end up being a two year double-double guy for Siena. You could be right but the key IMO, as you too stated, will be his conditioning. That was just used to keep Friday on the bench and play Prince instead. 15 and 15 vs Louisville by Friday exposed that lie. Friday was in the same shape as everyone else. Not the best but not the worse.

Per Michael Kelly Prince has officially received his release. Not allowed to contact UAlbany, St. Bonaventure, or any other MAAC schools When will Penn announce he is leaving?

HJ never say never. JO left, came back. JP was suppose to be here for another 3 years. Won’t know til the, proverbial fat lady sings. Whoever gets the job isn't going to give him carte blanche like Patsos. That is why Patsos teams get screwed up in the first place....everything revolves around the 'promised star'.. Bingo! and that goes for the other 2 freshmen that asked out as well. No more promises and special treatment from Patsos and his staff

Penn and Horn both got their release as well. Gonna be lonely on the bench next year. There is one more leaving and I believe it's all because they know the deal is over that they signed on to with Patsos. Penn won't be playing 40 mins a game for any other DI program so he better find another spot that needs a pg.

Wonder why the block to UA considering UA has very little connection if any that I know of with this kid. Might as well block him from I don't know...some school in Idaho. Yes why block UA? I am sure Prince wants to move up a level not down so I doubt he would consider your school any way

All of the players love the school and the fans. Patsos was the problem for them. Now that he is gone it will only take a good hire to keep them

Knock it off about Penn. You knew all along what Patsos was so just be quiet. Penn should not have played 40 minutes but not for the venomous reasons you spew forth. Richard is NOT A POINT GUARD. Penn needs to be put in a system where his skills AS A POINT GUARD will flourish. I predict that with the right hire, he will stay and I hope it happens. ODURO was made 'star quality' promises just like Nico and that was bullshit ...that is where Patsos screws himself and the rest of the players by history. Anyone that is a coach should know that even if you are lucky enough to land that superstar you keep it all in check or you lose the respect of the rest of the team and then it goes in the toilet, just like it did here. THAT IS HIS PAST PERFORMANCE RECORD. I HAVE SAID IT A MILLION TIMES.

From a low major to a mid-major Your reasoning makes no sense. When programs like Wake Forest, Pitt, and Boston College fell on hard times in recent years, did that alone make them mid-major? What level you play at isn't dictated by your recent record so much as what league you're in, what facilities you have, how much of a fan following exists, and what your budget is. If you look at the RPI ratings each year of the MAAC vs. the AE, as well as coaching salaries, etc. you'll start to see the dividing line between mid and low major. Siena's issues are temporary. If they get this next hire right they will be back where they were. The AE and most of itself programs on the other hand appear to be permanently mired in their place in the pecking order.
