I don't think there are many situations that parallel ours - most schools making a coaching change do it quickly and decisively - these kids have been left hanging - the right thing to do is let them all see what's out there - do I want them to leave? Hell no! I would like nothing more than to see what real coaching could produce - they all have skills/talent that I believe can be developed coupled with an existing tie to Siena and their teammates. Kenny H. was not seen as a D1 prospect and look what Fran developed - how many decried RR's entrance and then voila we have the highest caliber MAAC player...it's coaching folks and we have not seen it for so long that many have forgotten what that really means to a Program - we'll be fine - GET IT DONE!!! Think you are wrong on Kenny H, pretty sure he was considered among the best available recruits when Fran signed him late in the recruiting cycle. Not saying he wasn't undervalued earlier in the recruiting season just that they were excited about getting him late. Didn't mean to imply that we in any way undervalued Kenny - just pointing out he wasn't grabbed by anyone else and look what he turned into - Fran had a bit to do with that...good coaching will amplify talent

He's a kid who used the recruiting rules to his benefit, not signing until he had the opportunity he wanted. (likely, in part, related to the amount of playing time that Fran was able to offer.) Times have changed a bit, there are more quality kids available late in the recruiting cycle given the amount of transfers out there.

Per Michael Kelly Prince has officially received his release. Not allowed to contact UAlbany, St. Bonaventure, or any other MAAC schools

Mark Singelais Verified account @marksingelais 59s59 seconds ago More .@sienambb’s Prince Oduro has received his release to transfer from the college, according to his prep school coach. It doesn’t allow him to contact other MAAC schools, St. Bonaventure or UAlbany. He could stay at Siena, depending on the new coach.

A redshirt year could do Oduro wonders if he spends it shooting FTs 24/7.

Wonder why the block to UA considering UA has very little connection if any that I know of with this kid. Might as well block him from I don't know...some school in Idaho.

Not just about existing connections with blocking, but facing the player in the future. So they went with all conference foes and the two OOC rivalry games that even if not on the books this minute are likely to be played.

A redshirt year could do Oduro wonders if he spends it shooting FTs 24/7. No left hand/doesn’t go left ever and not the greatest footwork I’ve ever seen. He’s raw but has potential just based on agility and size. Plenty to work on in an off year. Don’t get me wrong he’s a loss especially with a team with little true D1 talent but he has work to do if he wants to move up. A year to do so should help.

Prince is a big loss. Biggest jump for a player is his soph year. He gets some coaching this RS year and he'll be a beast. I still remember how impressed I was how well he covered Seaborn in Monmouths small line-up. Prince would have been a GREAT MAAC big. I expect he'll be a good one at an A-10 or better level.

This will be the best thing for Prince if he does not come back.A redshirt year for a big like him with good skill work. And he gets to practice. He could have eventually been a very good MAAC big with right development.I think he'll be a solid bigger school player if developed and right school. But it has to be right school and fit no just highest offer. But hey who knows right coaching hire he comes back.Men i wish this could have been avoided.

Whoever gets the job isn't going to give him carte blanche like Patsos. That is why Patsos teams get screwed up in the first place....everything revolves around the 'promised star'..
