Name I heard from a pretty reliable source last night was, Becker from Vermont. Hearing he wants to get out of town because of a personal/family situation. Can’t see Becker taking the Siena job as he is tight with Patsos and Longernan. Becker knows with UA being down this year, he should win the league and get an A10 or Big east type job after next year. Vermont is also raising money right now for all new facilities which raises his recruiting advantage again All about the money. If Siena drops $600K for 5 years (Which it probably would take) he would likely listen. I don't believe he's ever had any abuse claims so while he was classmates with the other two I would not simply eliminate him because of that.

If HJ is right ,money will not be everything, personal family challenges in a small Burlington. Hell they pay you, your, current salary and move you for reasons given you go,your moving up in leagues.

If this was after Mitch and it was just your garden variety firing I would say the school should take the gamble and potential short term PR hit of hiring Pitino.
Given the circumstances of pushing Patsos out I would think Pitino would be a non-starter.
Now if Becker is really interested that is the no- brainer hire.

Wonder how many more hats will get thrown in the ring? Not bad for a program that was going to be so severely damaged by the Patsos debacle that no one would ever want to coach here again ... 🤓

Not sure if this is internet speculation or something more, but I'll go on record that hiring Pitino would be the end of my support of Siena.

Well let's see the guy is probably making $120K or so at Le Moyne - Siena would likely start with $300-325K base salary plus incentives. You're a gambler what odds would you take? The question is if Siena WANTS Beilein not if Beilein wants Siena. And tick tock ended yesterday, BTW.

He's got nobody coming back at Le Moyne this is his year to hit the D1 scene. Siena will double and perhaps triple his salary. If Siena offers he'll be in Loudonville faster than you to the beer stand. He just better hope Siena wants him. He turned down Marist and Bryant because he gambled Siena would hire him. Let's see what happens.
