You can see this is an orchestrated witch hunt. From the perspective that the only way Siena was getting out from under this contract was by firing with cause. Any program can dig up this kind of "dirt" on any coach in america. There are a number of instances from this off season alone where Athletic Departments have noted that they were attempting to let go of coaches for cause. Look at UCONN and Pitt as two examples where they pursued this as an option to avoid albatross contracts that these foolish AD's handed out.
Jimmy did a terrible job this season, there is no doubt of that. But this seems like an orchestrated hit to get rid of him.
Siena fans will be happy and feel justified in moving on.

The question now is how long this lasts. This was obviously a leverage play in attempt force Patsos to resign/take a much smaller buyout or to force the higher-ups to OK firing for cause. I’d guess it moves fast, the longer it drags out, the more dirt will come out and the worse JP (and Siena) will look. Timing here all aligns for Beilein, as has begun being reported on Twitter.

Many were obviously looking for a change. Are you saying you know these charges are false? Just because of the timing does not mean it's a witch hunt. NOBODY should be doing what is alleged in that article, much less a leader of college kids. We teach our 8 year olds not to bully like that. But he deserves due process. An in fact, the timing is not particularly good for the team - in the middle of the recruiting season and a month after our season was over. If this was the witch hunt you speak of, it would have happened in mid Feb - about the time Darg had his vote of confidence for the coach.

Siena needs to end this TOMORROW or Friday at the latest. I'm thinking they leaked it to the media when Patsos wouldn't take a negotiated buyout. Siena can't stand for this BS. And yes even a SUCCESSFUL coach would be hard pressed to survive this. Doing stuff to a player would be wrong but the team manager with a disability? The man is a POS.

Correct. I told you all so. also rumors about an ex-player's mom shaking down free bus rides and not paying for them, and other stuff. Nit sure that mom is though This is absolutely untrue. I am the person who coordinated bus trips for a number of years, including up to the present. For the record, I never charged the family members of any team personnel (coaches, players, managers), or Siena College staff or faculty, to travel to road games on the bus. No one ever asked me to do that, or said anything to me about it. It was the way I wanted to do it, and the way it was done. PPC did not shake me down for anything. I was happy to be able to provide her with a way to the games, the same as I have done for other player parents on numerous occasions. You owe her an apology, and me for that matter, for that remark.

If this was the witch hunt you speak of, it would have happened in mid Feb - about the time Darg had his vote of confidence for the coach. Not claiming they are false at all. Just a lot to be skeptical about. I think context is key with these things. Was he tormenting the manager, was it a joke, was it serious, what was the intent of the comments? The headlines are sensational, verbally abusing a student manager with a mental condition. yeah that's going to sound really bad. if you look at the story, the student manager has OCD, and maybe I'm being naive but my understanding is that it's a condition that makes people repeat actions or rituals. Jim Eisenreich played for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 90's with the condition. It sounds like he called him the "next uni-bomber" not exactly a crime in my book, and that the manager asked privately why he was singled out by the coach? There's also a quote by a player that says Jimmy "says some stuff". There could be more coming, and probably is with how these things play out.

Why get the POS a nickle?? Fire him for cause. Save time. Don’t go to court where Siena could lose and get stuck with all the money. Plus. Then Siena doesn’t look quite as bad in how they are forcing out JP.
