I agree there is too much PC, bfut do you also agree there is bullying. Let's use an example. Do you think Jimmys comments are over the line, if true Yes, I agree there is bullying. And that is why you teach your children to be the nice person and to never bully either physically or verbally. But I also want JP to get a fair shake, if he did something wrong, fine make a deal and settle. If he didn’t, don’t exaggerate claims and just pay the man. And let’s not ruin someone’s life. This all started talking about HOF coaches who might be accused of verbal abuse and you went down the sensitive, SJW path. I acknowledge that there is an atmosphere of greater sensitivory these days, but you also just agreed that there IS bullying. I would like to be specific about our current situation. I have said since I first heard this that JP deserves due process. But do you think the accusations we have heard: 'Unabomber', 'insane', joking about the kid's meds, would constitute bullying and verbal abuse that might be cause for dismissal. Or would you put that in the SJW and over-sensitive arena? Where is your line that defines SJW sensitivity or true bullying?

dailygazette.com/article/2018/04/06/hot-seat-too-hot-for-patsos-or-anyoneA few years ago, I hung around a Siena practice for about 20 minutes, and if I had had a roster in front of me, I could’ve checked off over half the players for having been singled out to be lit up by Patsos with a loud, profane stoppage of the workout. I suspect he got around to the rest of the lineup after I left.
The targets even included one of the student managers, who was blistered for punching in a wrong clock set-up for a drill. The student manager took it in stride.Even the media is throwing JP under the bus. How did the writer throw him under the bus? Seemed to me he was making the point that JP treats every player, manager with the same coaching style. Sure he'e loud when he tries to get his point across, but i didnt see this writer say he heard anything discriminatory. "Profane?" (swearing-sure) Like: "Lavon why the F#@% didnt you reverse the ball there?" in his booming voice? Boo Hoo. He made it seem like the players got the message, like Bisping said, and even student managers took it in stride. We've had very successful coaches here that were very similar during a practice. I admit Jimmy is too much during a game sometimes, and that hurts his rep. But for this case, and what is being alleged to get out of a firing payout, I think the article helped him more than hurt him. He said he'll be gone, which we ALL knew Thursday once Siena leaked the story. Nothing new. At this point its all about what gets paid out.

We don’t know all the facts and we don’t know the context. Like you said due process is needed.

Parents shouldn't meddle unless it has to do with grades, health or If the player advises parent of verbal abuse or treatment unusual to them.Besides that if you don't like the playing time position or whatever take your ball and leave.JMO

Jayden-That piece is biggest hit piece I've ever read- did GuyF write it for you? I'm sick and tired of writers making excuses for patsos and his losing 4 -1,000 point scorers- news flash those freshmen came in with little competition and played 30 min a game for 4 years- you only need to avg about 8 PPG- those 1000 point scorers had 3 losing regular seasons out of the 4 years they were here- this season was Patsos 4th losing regular season in 5 years at Siena - he was below 500 for his 5 years at Siena. He was a lazy recruiter; he would take 2 vacations a month for entire off season. he couldn't land a kid in competitive recruiting situation - Siena talent level was at lowest it’s been in 30 years due to JP's weak recruiting, did you even see Siena this year?
Any place in college basketball that has actual fans - they demand a winner- the last 8 years have not been kind to Siena, D'argenio has totally mismanaged the program - This had nothing to do with Iona ( pure bullshit on your part) Not many Siena fans feel JP was the fall out guy- in the end he couldn't win. Like all coaching jobs- especially those that have fans you have to win- So-so Patsos own stated goal of winning 2 out of 4 was never going to fly at Siena, attendance was dropping like a rock 4 losing regular seasons in 5 years wasn't going to fly, maybe it would like some place like Fordham that has no fans and doesn’t win – hell they would name the court after Patsos at Fordham
In the end, that was nothing but a hit piece on Siena fans- you have no idea what transpired after the season- maybe Patsos could have spared himself the embarrassment , for a guy with a losing record, he really teed it up for Siena, trust me when I tell you, the little bit that leaked out was the tip of the iceberg for that whack job Patsos-, maybe a guy that couldn’t recruit shouldn’t have been taking 2 vacations a month in off season, Oh poor Jimmy Patsos he had 4 out of 5 losing regular seasons, tied a program high with 24 losses this year and Siena gets rid of him- they should have kept him another 3 years- let attendance drop to Iona or Fordham levels ( move back to on campus) and permanently ruin the program

the dude is awful as a coach. His record is blah at best. As for the accusations etc. A lot gets washed under the carpet when threats of legal fees and drudging the program/coach through the mud occur. Many of the accusations are true. Siena just doesnt want to drag this all out in court and its simple enough to pay him 1 year to get the hell out. Victims making that kind of bank? with those kinds of results? You can STFU now
