Plant these carrots now: Siena needs to get a box at Saratoga and a golfing membership at Saratoga National Just bring him to Graneys or Stout and he will never want to leave. just be sure to clean the bathroom after Rick P is through...

Glad to hear you are well. We call have different ways of expressing it but the sooner this era of Siena bball is over the better it will be for all. Ditto I agree, everyone has there own way of expressing their opinions. i just couldn’t ever come to critique my favorite team. Just seems counter productive to me. But I’m not wired correctly. Eventually Siena decide to part ways and I’m ok with what ever decision Siena makes. BTW, Siena’s my favorite team and I’ll support them in good times as well as in bad times.

Welcome back IS - I do think many of us took exception to those posts that masked the bad aspects, that many have been both aware of and vocal about for some time, with too many that "only saw the good" while criticizing so many of us for seeing things differently (turns out we were right but I'm not usually one to say "I told you so!") and questioning our loyalty to the school. You can question my judgement but never my loyalty to my alma mater - whoever occupies the head coach seat is not a member/part of my alma mater, rather he or she is aan employee - nothing more. We recognize your green & gold enthusiasm, cut us some slack and recognize our ability to have different views at times. Let's Go Saints!

I just can’t bring myself to critique or root against my favorite team. Otherwise, if I did - I’d probable change favorite teams as often as people change underwear. I wished everyone who dislike what was happening told the coach, Admin, School President, Board of trustees, etc.. I just didn’t see the need to drag it through the forum media. Let the people in control know and let them decide when a change is needed. But I roll differently than most.

However don’t try to,deny those you experience s and duties in the workplace were to root out poor performance, turn organizations around. The y are hon st opinions from folis that have been there done that. Look ok through the green and gold glasses, enjoy the team, but the school, also taught you to think critically. The school is run by humans and yes to put it in the vernacular they F up at time.

The people who disliked what was happening did speak up, verbally and with their wallets. Thats why the change became inevitable.

So people went the media route in stead. It really doesn’t matter now, what’s dine is done. We have a new coach. But, some don’t have to agree with how others performed what could be construed as mutiny towards their favorite team.

Siena always does the right thing, AS A BUSINESS. Siena may not do it as quickly as others want but it always does what’s best for Siena, regardless of what others think.

I think your green & gold glasses need to be washed as they have been acting more like blinders. You liked what went on and many of us didn't - so be it, you are entitled to that view - but trust me, this forum was not the only vehicle I personally used and not one syllable of mine was ever given to the TU or other "media." Several written AND oral communications to various folks at Siena over a several year period. Since you call the Program your "family" perhaps you should read a book on tough love. Let's aim our puffed out "I'm a great fan" chest into the future. It's Day One and we are ALL on the same page going forward.

IndianSaint, you used the word "BUSINESS". Part of that business is a customer base that either supports your product or not. The ONLY vote anyone has in the process is with your wallet. I think we all know that Siena doesnt always do what is right. They do indeed get it wrong (when it comes to coaches that is just about 50% of the time).

Saintsfan and Indiansaint-No-one is exempt from getting something wrong at some point-it's the human condition. But the most important factor is our shared passion and pride for Siena and her storied basketball program. Our solidarity and loyalty make us unique and makes us strong. I think we can all agree to move forward with renewed optimism and focus our energy on the future. Go Saints!

Let's aim our puffed out "I'm a great fan" chest into the future. It's Day One and we are ALL on the same page going forward. I apologize MP. My comments weren’t directed at you or the others I knew were talking/writing AD & the President. My comments were directed at the posters who were relentless with the negativity and who didn’t IMO attempt to contact the people in charge to provide all the evidence of abuse so something could be done. I wasn’t, first hand, aware of the abuses people knew about. Those people IMO had an obligation to report it to people who could do something about it (not necessarily spread it through the forum wher it’s be 2nd or 3rd hand info if we the readers now attempt to bring it to Siena’s attention). I simply chose to continue to support one of my favorite teams and when it got too negative towards me (for my attempted support) I stopped posting. In my weird logic, I figured if I continued to financially support Siena they’d have more money than they would have had I protested and stopped giving - also they’d have the option of firing and/or buying out the coach. If I stopped financial support, it could have hurt my favorite team even more (not to mention if they had to use Siena money supposed to be used for teaching). That’s in the past, we have a new coach that as far as I can tell (by talking with others and reading about) is already a better coach than our last one and I’m “way more excited” about this season than I have been in a while (and everyone knows I’m excited about every season anyway). Go Saints!!!
