Pitino should buy out patsos contract in exchange for a 5 year deal with deferred compensation in years 2-5, assuming certain performance and behavior conditions are met. Boom, problem solved.

Get the attorneys on phone and ink up a contract and send it down to FL posthaste.
What’s he gonna say no, or walk away and say nothing. C’mon. The guy was just being amicable.

Just returned home from Miami where I attended the Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park. While there I met Rick Petino whose horse won a stakes race.I asked if he would ever be interested in coaching a college like Siena and to my surprise he said YES! GO SAINTS!! Send him a copy of the men’s basketball program budget at Siena, and let’s see if he’s still interested. I’m sure he’ll be thrilled on those bus trips to St. Peter’s, Rider, western NY, etc. At this point, he'd be thrilled to get ANY D-1 job. He has to accept his career has come full circle. He did the bus thing at BU 35 years ago, I'm sure he can do it again. Ps- I wouldn't be shocked to see him buy the team a luxury bus for their travels. Money is most irrelevant aspect of this dream happening. He's got more than enough. With attendance incentives, he'd still pull a million a year and that goes a long way in the 518.

Yeah, he's got a line in front of him offering jobs. It's so bad in the high major category, he's only hearing from NBA minor league affiliates. A mid-major that he respects, with a 15,000 seat arena has to be attractive at this point. Ps-he vowed to "never step foot in the state of Kentucky again." Hmmmm, anyone know of a good place to keep his horses for half the year?? Lol. JAMES: Thanks for at least putting the idea in his head! Gotta start somewhere!

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to have him here I just don’t see it being that realistic. He’d certainly turn the program on a dime!

This board talks a big game regarding our program. That's what I'm doing right now. I think we re one of very few MMs he'd consider. I think we have several attractive attributes for him to consider. No HMs will touch him because he's too hot, I get it. It's the only reason this pipe dream has legs!! I'm glad James planted the seed, because he probably never thought about us as his final landing spot either, but he's no dummy. As crazy as it sounds, it does make sense in a lot of ways. We'd be good for each other....
