Administration stays quiet while coach recruits for next season m.timesunion.com/sports/article/Patsos-planning-resurrection-for-Siena-12750167.php?utm_campaign=twitter-mobile&utm_source=CMS%20Sharing%20Button&utm_medium=socialMeanwhile, no one else at Siena is saying much as they evaluate the program after an 8-24 season. School spokesmen said college president Br. Edward Coughlin and athletic director John D'Argenio would have no comment while a "comprehensive review" of the program is still in progress.
D'Argenio said last month the college is "committed" to Patsos as its head coach next season. He still has three years remaining on a contract that paid him about $370,000 annually as of 2016, the most recent figure available.
D'Argenio said then he and Patsos would have their customary meeting after the season to evaluate the program. Patsos texted today that he and D'Argenio have yet to meet.

The statement on Feb. 16 does not suffice - time for Siena to say something officially. D'Arg refused comment after the MAAC tournament and last night when he was available for the women's field hockey thing. I realize they haven't met but don't know why he can't just say "Jimmy Patsos is our head coach for next year we look forward to being vastly improved"
I think he's coming back but they need to confirm it and completely end all speculation so we can look forward to the 2018-2019 season.
But I can't stop wondering why all the "proclamations" of greatness for next year? Is he trying to bilk the administration into keeping him and is worried he might not be back?

From the looks of things only a few of us will be around for the "resurrection". If you're looking for a team next season Syracuse is going to be very good next season.

Interesting choice of words during Lent. Obviously intentional and insulting. To say that as a coach at a Franciscan school is inexplicable.

Eureka, after all these years I finally get hankla's generally down view of the world and grumpy demeanor - anyone that has an opinion different than his is a "hater" - lonely life, sad, ...

On a personal level, I like Jimmy, but I find it ironic that Jimmy is talking about a resurrection when he is the one who has killed the program over the last five years.
