While Shivers struggled on and off all year, there is no reason why a guy who plays 25 a game every night goes to 1 minute in a win or go home game. Unless he was dying or his foot was about to fall off.. talk about a mind F to a kid. Last game of the year you didn't even get your sweats off?? Is that JP's passive aggressive way of showing him the door?
And for Friday, I don't know if he would have helped or not, we will never know. He has played so sporadically that no one can really say "well, had Friday played 20 minutes we win" when this team has lost nearly every game, w. nearly every machination of line-up out there. friday has looked good in spots, but has also looked lost (lack of PT for sure) just as many times, so he could have helped, or hurt....
Also, I thought the offense was supposed to flow better with Richard? against a pretty bad defense, Siena's offense looked horrible, all game. Fisher looked like the fisher of early in the year, yet kept shooting.
I think the year can be summed up in one set of plays at the end of the half. I can't find the play by play, but siena had the ball for what should have been the last possession. If i mess up the names please correct me, but I think Richard took a shot with like 5 or 6 seconds left... misses and then Smithen fouls sending Q to the line w. like 3 seconds left. Dumb in so many aspects..... and a symptom of a problem i have seen for years now. The team lacks discipline on and off the court and it rolls over to situations like this (or Shivers foul in OT a few weeks bacK) where you need to rely on players to make correct plays and calls in real time, in crunch time and this team and even the senior ladened team, lacked that punch.

Shivers played himself to the end of the bench. That kid has nothing to complain about.
Next to Fisher, he played the most minutes on the team this year.

For him to play 1 minute is a JP specialty. There is always a reason behind it, it wasn't because he saw some great mismatch playing another set. It was a shot at Shivers for reasons some on the board know and it is bullshit JP acts that way. He is a fat, petulant child. That's our coach kids.

Think it was the other way around, Richard gave the foul with 3.4 seconds left. He had attempted a layup at 9 seconds, Fisher got rebound and shot at 7 seconds and then Richard fouled and gave the Q two more points.

Shivers and Friday should have started and played Major mins. Saints would have had a better start. Played better in the second half when Sammy was in. Yes the game was lost in the first half. Giving up 10 points to start ended up being the deficit. Wrong starting lineup and too many mins from freshmen that barely played all season. Everyone knows what he did that i dont care who starts for this team. The talent level is deplorable. Youve been told that since the day Patsos stepped foot on campus. Your opinion holds no value to me. Ive seen nothing but low D1 talent come with this coach and his staff. The results speak for themselves. Your opinion means nothing to me either. carry on

Who paid for the travel? Or is it on a Siena bball expense ledger like so many other questionable line items?
