Seems like an applicable quote from our favorite Maryland star. That makes too much sense for this board to understand. sure, when you recruit ACC talent (ooops, meant to say BIG 10) this is more applicable............but we don't even have MAAC level talent overall..........you have said that yourself.............

Maybe Maryland doesn't have Big 10 talent? Afterall they start a freshman that was pretty close to committing to Siena early on?!

I have been going to the MAAC tourney every time it is in Albany, plus I went to Fairfield once and Springfield once. I have NEVER seen a Siena game with such small attendance. I expected to find 5000 plus in the seats. I would guesstimate actual attendance hovering a bit below 2000. I guess Siena fans were making a statement with their feet. Those of us at the game had nothing to cheer for, falling behind early by double digits and never really a threat the whole game. Then came the Marist game - the band (best in the MAAC ) , dance squad, and cheerleaders were all great, the team - not so much. This is not a joke - there had to be like maybe 200 in the stands for that game. When I bought a MAAC tourney program, the guy said I "made his night" as he sat there with a bored expression and nobody else in sight. Symbolic, during the Marist game, John D'Argenio was not around seeing people (there was no one there to see), he walked quietly alone down the tunnel to the locker rooms. Here's what I see - the fan base needs to be re-energized. The kids on campus need to be energized. Siena basketball was always the "talk of the town". Now, they play second fiddle to UA and are an afterthought. Something dramatic has to happen to once again get people enthused about this team. Sad - March Madness has turned to March Sadness !

comparing Mark Turgeon to Jimmy is ludicrous and frankly offensive

The re-energizing will happen with the 'clean sweep' that is really needed and the right guy put into place. But the administration needs to make it happen sooner rather than later. Time is wasting.

hoopjunkie i disagree-the comparison was subtle-called an intimation... although I applaud Kevin (who is a mature, intelligent, respectful young man as well as an incredibly gifted athlete) for his blunt analysis in shouldering the blame for Maryland's loss, I also believe that the buck stops with the guy in charge as well.

It’s not quite over yet but rider is getting pummeled by St. Peter’s. Who didn’t see this coming. Rider is a joke and was never going to be a bonafide 1 seed. What a wasted opportunity.
