A "friend of a friend" was recently with some "basketball people" out Syracuse way who were saying Jimmy P was gone at season's end and Gerry McNamara would replace him. I know, I know....could be BS but thought I would report what he said. No ability to confirm the cred of the sources. But makes sense if Gerry Mac looking to enhance his resume Gerry is doing work on the recruiting trail. I’d be happy with this. Plus would put him in good shape to eventually replace Boeheim. Side note: Gerry is Syracuse’s primary recruiter of Joe Girard. the last jimmy borheim gift didn’t quite work out—- although still was better than what we have now.

three more years big chief, and like albany, charm city is nice place to visit, but backwater - and the clue you were lookin for is nobody cares what you think Anyway you and the lushes could expedite that departure from our backwater City? Just sayin’... it would be greatly appreciated. anybody who has never laid a turd and finished last just hasnt been anywhere no matter what happens on the turn and the river I know coach P has the heart of a lion and the guts of a pitbull and fully expect him to return with a vengence and succeed in spades. didn t get a time at stillwater cove this year, but maybe next - see that s positive. you see the personal stuff does no good, value civility

Spoken like a family member. Simple truth... The results don't lie. 14 seasons, one ncaa appearance and little to no success. He's mediocre AT best as a head coach. He's considerably over paid for the results. He might be a great guy, great person... I don't know him but he owns a career of mediocrity at best. Not good enough for siena

Other assistants... Ashley Howard - Villanova assistant Jon Scheyer - Duke assistant Ron Sanchez - Virginia assistant Darrin Horn - Texas assistant, former HC at Western Kentucky/South Carolina Darren Savino - Cincinnati assistant Gerry McNamara - Syracuse assistant Greg Paulus - Louisville assistant Carmen Maciariello - George Washington assistant Current head coach... Nate Davis - Bucknell head coach Bashir Mason - Wagner head coach Ryan Odom - UMBC head coach Tobin Anderson - St. Thomas Aquinas head coach Patrick Beilein - Le Moyne Head coach Any others? Thoughts? Realistic list?

If it’s a wish list John Becker at UVM is high on my list last I saw he was making $275k. I’m sure he’s looking for the next level but I really like him as a coach. Shaheen Holloway Asst at Seton Hall knows the MAAC and is a northeast NY NJ Philly area guy.

As far as coaching candidates go I would have to think Ryan Odom is improving his stock. Took over an absolutely terrible UMBC program and went 21-13 last year taking them to the CIT finals. Now has them sitting in 2nd place in their league at 17-9 (8-3). Improving stock is an understatement now!
