Again, look beyond Siena basketball for your answer...movers and shakers like other movers and shakers.... whereas these guys may be Siena donors, don't think for a second they aren't their own donors 1st... and they should be. If a coach or whoever can get you into other, larger circles, that will take precedence over a small time basketball team. I don't know how to explain it any other way then life isn't just Siena hoops. I think you are 100% correct...it's just like our politicians...on the surface they are there to serve the people...yeah...sure... In the process of rereading this post I had a scary thought...maybe JP's connections with big $$$ is what got him to Siena in the 1st place and helped with the extensions...maybe D'Arg had nothing to do with it and still doesn't...and the worst possible scenario is that those that got him here want to keep him here...

toobigskybabe I ve been saying the same thing for years about the clintons and barry from maui
pissedoffinpurgatory, formerly known as the artist mts - you embarrass yourself three times a day on this bathroom wall, get a grip
greenwithenvyblood 4106$ / mo sends the coach on his way. pay the man, as teddy KGB would say - I gotta think a big time institution like siena and the capitol region could handle that

Who in their right might would WANT to keep Patsos as the Siena coach? How in any way shape or form has the Saints program benefited from him as their HQ? How in any way, shape or form has he been a positive representative of the College? Demonstrated and lived by the Franciscan Way? The Patsos Experiment is a failure on AND off the court. If someone sees it differently, please answer the questions above. I would like to hear answers to those questions by the President of the College and the VP of Athletics too?

I am disgusted that Siena wants to ACT like they are big time but when they need to pull the trigger (pun intended) on a mistake they cower into a corner because they let the mistake put the gun to their own head. You can have JP & Co back in the DMV on the next Southwest direct flight as far as I am concerned.

I think the whole program needs a reboot. Happens in professional sports all the time! And it starts with a new Atheltic Director!
I personally would like to see an Assistant AD from either Duke or Notre Dame take over! It would cost money..but it would be worth it!

A "friend of a friend" was recently with some "basketball people" out Syracuse way who were saying Jimmy P was gone at season's end and Gerry McNamara would replace him. I know, I know....could be BS but thought I would report what he said. No ability to confirm the cred of the sources. But makes sense if Gerry Mac looking to enhance his resume

But makes sense if Gerry Mac looking to enhance his resume Gerry is doing work on the recruiting trail. I’d be happy with this. Plus would put him in good shape to eventually replace Boeheim. Side note: Gerry is Syracuse’s primary recruiter of Joe Girard.
