Robert McCormick is an officer of the Board and he pulled his sponsorship before start of season.

Let's see, HC game, Friday night before a holiday, school not in session, snowing outside, game on TV.... do you think any of those things had something to do with the number of fannies in the seats? Still outdrew most MAAC schools and UA despite all of that going on.

Friday night games draw almost as well as Saturday games historically.

I believe that it has to do with all of the above, not just the team winning or not. Let me start with something purely anecdotal. My wife, myself, and two kids have attended all the home games to date. The crowds are disturbing. To suggest that the crowds are thinning because of the weather, time, day of the week, etc., would be a misdiagnosis to say the least. Let me add that the situation is probably even worse than we think. Papi likes to think that the loyal fans will continue to support this team. Whatever loyal means. But I won’t. And if you lose me, you won’t just lose me, you will lose my wife and two kids. I’m the fanatic, they are just tagging along. That might be a slight exaggeration, but the end result is that you lost 4 fans because of one. Think about that. I’m sure my situation isn’t all that unique. You will lose fans and you will lose them fast. Don’t underestimate the synergy created by the fanatics. People like a show, without a good team and your base fanatics, you’ll have to clear the tumbleweeds before the start of each game.

That game was affected by the items that I outlined, I know several fans who did not attend for the reasons that I have offered and nothing to do with the team's record. That game and attendance in general has been impacted by winning or lack there of. It goes without saying that winning teams draw better than losing ones.

Folks, before attacking ryan maybe you should consider the situation and likelihood of his report being true based the current state of affairs. Everyone who's been around knows I love the program and support the kids yet I too have, on multiple recent occasions, shared disturbing info about the current inner workings of the JP Trainwreck. I want the kids, coaches, program and school to succeed and can't stand seeing it being burned to the ground.

This is why I love this board. Last season they were 2 points in an OT loss away from the ultimate goal of any team at Siena. Now the program is being burned to the ground. The wild swings after each loss is entertainment. 0-1 maac .

Glad to hear that someone is getting entertainment out of this program - you should try and wrangle an interview by Singelais or Wulken - "A Conversation with a Fluffer Nutter" LOL

I was happy for the team and school that they came so close but in no way shape or form was I sold on JP and the direction of the program after that game. Further getting to the NCAA play-in or 13 or worse seed is a far cry "from the ultimate goal of any team at Siena."
