Memphis is likely to finish in the 6–9 range on the AAC. They’ve beaten some sneaky-good mid-majors this year and have no bad losses. Probably will finish like 18-14 and go to the NIT. That was a solid performance last night without our best big man and our 2 best perimeter scorers having mostly off nights except for Nico’s early burst. Memphis to me is about the same level a team as Charleston or Albany, good teams that could definitely go dancing but would need the auto-bid. More importantly, it’s just good to see guys get confidence. I saw Jordan Horn look like a 2 ton brick was lifted off his shoulders when he hit a couple shots against Bryant, and look what happens. I saw Roman Penn continue to make good decisions, hit shots, and take care of the ball agaisnt much better athletes. This team is starting to come together, it still hasn’t fully embraced the 4 out system KK and others (including myself) have been clamoring for but we are getting closer. Win 4 or 5 of the next 5 fully find our style and we have a shotvto really surprise. Sneaky Mids SOS 266 best mid win is probably UA Do you guys just make stuff up to fit your agenda? I think we’re a mid-pack MAAC team. No more, no less. Next 5 starts a run of weaker programs I expect to go 4-1. Let’s see where we stand after the next 5.

I have a bridge I will sell some of the posters. Are you posters just disagreeing to piss others off. I read your posts, obviously you have knowledge of the game, but you can't get by your heart, by that how you want to feel about the coach or team. Be realists, see the forest through the trees. You want mediocre hoop so be it. Siena got lucky last night, and we are all glad they did. They played their hearts out. I've seen JP get out coached to many times. We have 2 AE coach's who do it consistently. Only thing most asked here is to be honest, that is if you know the game as much as you believe you do. Take the good comment on it, take the bad comment on it. No one will argue with you, they will agree to disagree, BUT the unrealistic statement when you know they aren't true leaves everyone including yourselves looking foolish. Damn you say one thing on this board and say the complete opposite on others. come on, your better than that.

Northern Kentucky won 20 games last year and went to the NCAA Tournament. They were picked 2nd in the Horizon League and could easily win be league. Mercer starts 5 seniors and was picked to win the SoCon. Those were who I was referring to, but thanks again for playing. I agree on your second points, that’s what I said. With the MAAC as bad as it is maybe they make a run to top 4 if things break right.

Good mids but nothing i would be hanging my hat on if I’m the Memphis program. I didn’t say Memphis sucked they’re just a meh team.

I’m sure we also believe that Syracuse is the #4 team in the country and Wagner is better than Cincinnati.

Lol but ok you win Memphis is great.

That was really a fun game to watch, and the Saints almost pulled it off.
To what do we attribute this, though? I don't think one could realistically say the Saints are on the same level from an athleticism standpoint. Many here are very quick to brand a number of Saints as "low major" and D2 players. How did we not get blown out on their home court, since they have such a big talent and athleticism edge?
The fact is, the Saints did outplay the Tigers for the majority of that game - even before the Horn heroics kept them in it later in the game. You have to give some credit to the coaching staff for this - I mean, can you at least admit that even the proverbial broken clock is right twice a day? To not allow that Jimmy gets it right some of the time is just demonstrative of an irretrievably poisoned view of the man.
I do understand how one can come to feel that way, however; he's earned much of the angst that is aimed at him on this board. However, denying credit to the coaching job under any circumstances makes about as much sense as insisting that Khalil is a better PG than Roman despite all evidence to the contrary. Still luv ya, PPC!

That is an awesome picture, but Fisher got called for fouling him with his armpit. I think a lot of the calls on Siena were questionable!
