If they don't do well this stretch...it could be a long rest of the season.

Holy Cross:
278 Ranked Offense 302 Ranked Defense 346th ranked Tempo
They don't rebound. They don't get to the FT line. They don't shoot FT's well. They don't stop you from putting the ball in the basketball from anywhere.
If Siena is really better than Kenpom says because of youth and tough early schedule...this SHOULD look a lot like the Bryant game...especially with it being at home.
The only thing is they play ridiculously slow and muck up the game and they take care of the ball and shoot pretty well within the arc..whereas we haven't so far.
But...they play a fair amount of zone...and they haven't defended the three very well so far so... More opportunities for Siena to bombs away.
Kenpom predicts Siena 70-64.

If we get to 70 points, we win this game. Holy Cross has been able to play with some pretty solid teams when they’ve kept the game in the 50’s and 60’s. My main concern with this one is the team coming in focused and ready. After a strong performance last night and then a very early flight this morning, team only has 1 practice to get prepped and refocused, after a good effort it can be easy to look past a team like Holy Cross especially with Christmas coming up and MAAC Play right around the corner. Come out firing on all cylinders and we should be fine.

Saints need to take better care of the ball. The more minutes Horn and Smithen play and give us good mins, I'd have to figure the more it helps the turnover problem.
Nico, Shivers, and Richard have killed us this year in this area. Your guards CAN'T be so wild with the ball. They have to settle down or Saints will go nowhere.
Playing smaller will help open up the floor but they still have to play smart.

By taking care of the ball can we assume you mean not having to shoot with 5 or less seconds on the shot clock or better still no shot clock voations. Whom may we place the blame on for coming up with the offensive sets

Any word on whether Oduro will play? Better or not best to let him sit this one out. Sammy and Evan have this one covered.

Using Sagarin Siena would be a 6-point vs. Holy Cross - HC is just 342th out of 351 in scoring with 63.4 PPG... A chance for Siena's defense to make a stand.
Here's a crazy stat - Nico Clareth is shooting 38.7% from 3 - 29/75 but only 37.8% from 2 - 31/82 - for a total of 38.2% - best player has to shoot better than that overall especially the way he shoots from three.
Siena should go with four guards most of this game. HC is well coached under Union grad Bill Carmody.
If the Saints come out strong they should take this one by double-digits.

Prince in uniform warming up. Wow maybe they can blow this one after all. If he is hurt rest him, if he was just out of shape bench him, then get him in shape. What's going on JP.
