I can't wait to watch this game. We are going to play a Syracuse Zone using Will Brown's game plan is what I think I am reading.....I thought only Oduro was hurting but now Shivers has nagging injuries as well? Even with Memphis down, I was hoping the pieces would come together (sans the social outcasts at the end of the bench) and really keep this tight or maybe pull it off because psychologically it could go a long way if used correctly. Again JMHO.

Ok i got it conspiracy theory,so Nico hasn't started the last 5games therefore whatever discipline is over.He starts tonight because a usual discipline is 3,5 games depending on the act.So I'm guessing it was something not worth suspending but this is a warning in house hush hush.Known this is just a conspiracy theory i have no first have knowledge.

I agree with you but thinking positively, at least it sounded like JP actually watched a tape and we might be going into a game WITH a game plan...onward, onward, upward(?)...the MAAC is at the pinnacle...Go Saints.

If Oduro is not playing, I'm just excited to see them spread the floor for a full game. I just hope that without Oduro there's enough ability to slow their interior play to give us a chance.
Memphis plays a lot of zone so if the 3's fall anywhere near like they did vs. Bryant, Siena's got a chance. And hopefully, by playing small they'll take care of the ball better. But I guess that depends largely on Richard, Shivers, and Nico and how many times they shuffle their feet or get called for charges.

Having a good game plan is a positive step. Executing it correctly is hopefully something we are going to see.

I just keep wondering why if Oduro has been hurting for so long, why they played him so much in games not as important as the MAAC games. Now how long will he be out or have lingering affects. JP over played him, even if he was healthy and in shape he was getting way to many minutes. They say he has been hurting for a while. Why was he be played so much then, it just doesn't make sense. Hoping for a close one today but not counting on it. Keeping TO's under control is huge to keep it respectable.

I'm sure the hope was that he could gain that experience in non-conference games and by conference time he would be a better player. If they just rested him through the non-conference he wasn't going to improve.

Be careful, injuries are never the coach’s fault.

Whatever has gone on behind the scenes with his foot...his FT shooting and inconsistent finishing ability is continuing from HS. This makes him a greatly flawed player.
He is nowhere near a Bisping or JO right now. His points per shot is proving well below average for a big man...and his rebounding has not been quite up to par either. Perhaps the foot has contibuted some to the latter.
What I wouldn't give for either of those 2 to be back playing under the basket for us this year.

We could have limited minutes, had him practice mostly free throws and intricate footwork. I'm sure that is still painful but can't be as damaging as the pressure of running up and down the court. I think TOs and fouls are what will kill us, but maybe I will be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) and we will land somewhere between the Purple game plan (close) and the Orange one (effective zone). Who knows, maybe we even see a rainbow farting unicorn at halftime! Go Saints.

Well lets hope for a well played game tonight. Hopefully injury problem gets better. Injuries are part of game , that's reason why you have 13 schorships and you dont "waste" any.

Be careful, injuries are never the coach’s fault. No, missed shots and turnovers are 😂
