Friday certainly could have played more than he did and given Prince a break. I don't get it either. Insoles & cortisone shots will fix the issue! He’s too big for excuses! Exactly and that's all it is an excuse to explain his poor performance lately, it's pathetic. Truth is his conditioning sucks, which affects everything else. Get in shape or take a seat.

Plantar fasciitis has debilitated plenty of pro athletes (Albert Pujols basically lost a season to it IIRC). When severe enough, it’s not a “orthotics and fixed” situation.

Penn is the real deal he should actually be in ROY conversation, 2 more rebounds for a double double, 4 ast, 3 stls he is the real deal. Oduro not a chance sorry, but true. Go Saints finish strong. Penn ended with 19 pts on just 8 shots. Final line of 19 pts, 9 rebs, 4 assists, 2 TOs, 3 steals. He's being his high school self now. Efficient. His Points Per Shot is now sitting at 1.51 Nico's is now up to a more manageable 1.2. Too bad he hasn’t earned the job like the kids from Baltimore have

Good to get a win. Bryant is obviously one if the weaker D1 programs this year. Siena did what it had to do, adjusted to the bigs getting in early foul trouble and let their guards, who were much better than Bryant's dictate the game. Not sure we can get much more excited than that as the game and the competition was what is what was, not very good. Hopefully this will build some shooting and driving to the basket confidence for the younger players. Take the positives, move on and continue to build in prep for MAAC play.

I'm back after a brief hiatus (Thanks Tony for starting this thread), I was at the ARC today watching the ladies- I didn't get to watch the game.
Stats looked great in the box score, glad to get the win. I agree with everyone's assessment- the guard play is good, perhaps we got our 10 players?
Next game: @ Memphis, ESPN3, 8 pm (Wednesday December 20th)

Insoles & cortisone shots will fix the issue! He’s too big for excuses! Cortisone is degenerative which is why you can only have so many in your lifetime. It appears he hasn’t had any relief. In addition, UA sneakers suck! If he needs anti-inflammatory meds (instead of a shot of cortisone) and perhaps gel inserts to help with the shock impact with running & jumping......give him something for the discomfort & pain. He cannot get proper conditioning if his feet hurt. Nor will he play Bball effectively.

Jesus The Good Feet store is right on Wolfe Road. Somebody get the kid there for orthotics. Plantar fasciitis has debilitated plenty of pro athletes (Albert Pujols basically lost a season to it IIRC). When severe enough, it’s not a “orthotics and fixed” situation. Very true - I went through 2+ years of continued discomfort (being kind) trying cortisone (discontinued after a round of three injections) and then orthotics (Rx, not off the shelf, $$$) and finally had surgery - in-patient, on crutches for weeks and then 6+ months of site pain that seemed every bit as bad as the plantar fasciitis did prior to surgery. At one point, post-surgery, I stopped wearing hard-soled shoes, wearing sneakers exclusively. Pain gradually diminished and then disappeared totally. Bottom line - this is not, in some people, a take an aspirin and call me in the morning issue. Oduro carries significantly more weight and the grind of practicing, etc., would, IMO, only add to his pain - it is a sharp, site specific, intense type of pain, not a dull ache one could ignore for short periods. I hope he has been seen by a podiatrist rather than just an orthopod.....

Agree totally forgot to add smiley face after Good Feet Store (insert sarcasm) as in was he fitted and at least got Rx orthotics? I hope so with the minutes he was logging...that was my thought. Hate to see a kid lose any part of a season or not reach his potential because of injury. Playing significant minutes (seems that's the plan) in pain isn't a good thing.

The kids played a solid game and seemed to play much, much better under what I can only interpret as a "pass quick, think inside, look outside, pass quick, and SHOOT if open" universal green light point of emphasis before and during the game. Hope that management philosophy carries over into the next game - they absolutely need to be loose and confident (not cocky) going into Memphis (hopefully Horn won't have heard JP's post game on his play). Their effort got a much needed win and gave a boost to their individual and team confidence.
Can't ignore the "oddities" I heard/read in JP's post game "analysis"!
Green vs Gold 20-minute scrimmage on Saturday and the Green team beat the STARTERS on the Gold team - some questions jump out of this: 1) Was the Green team using the scout developed Bryant offense/defense that the Gold team would be using/seeing game day - if so were changes made, if not that might explain the shaky start and early bench minutes? 2) Why are they playing a 20 minute scrimmage the day BEFORE a game, let alone a road game - most coaches have a walk-through on the day before stressing our most likely plays and plays most likely to be used by our opponent - the "walk-through" is used to conserve energy and allow ever present aches and pains some rest? 3) Did any of the Green team players get any chance to play with Gold team players similar to in-game sub patterns? 4) Why didn't the Green team start at Bryant given the apparent strong reliance on Saturday's results in setting Sunday's game plan? 5) Is it smart to play the top 10 for up to 20 total minutes on the day before an important game (important from a team psyche point of view at least) given a] Oduro's plantar fasciitis had to have been aggravated by his 30 minutes on Saturday, b] Friday's less than optimum stamina for long stretches had to have been taxed by his 20 minutes on Saturday, and c] the early fouling just might have been due to already existing pain/fatigue? 6) JP seems sold on the idea that we are on the same level as Bryant - REALLY? 7) Fisher won the team MVP award for in-huddle performance - there is a stat that even KenPom doesn't track (am I correct KK?)!
