Another key to this game was the bench. Especially..when Wright got in foul trouble!

End of the game, Quis was dribbling out the clock and as everyone walked off the court and the buzzer went off, Quis threw the ball to Nico on the sidelines and he took a jumper!

Bench only played 27 min and scored 4 points Yes, but they allowed the starters to rest.Which is key for today's game! JO 40 min, Lavon 39 min, Brett 33 min, Shivers 32 min- only starter that didnt play a ton of min was Quis- he "only" played 31 min, mainly because of his lack of discipline in getting the T and his 4th personal foul. Lack of depth ( bench) has been this teams achilles heel all year.Contrast that with Monmouth who has two days rest and didnt play a starter over 25 min friday night. Seaborn has problems and they have a seldom used soph ( played 7 min a game) come in play 19 min and give Hawks 16 points- that is why you never "give" up a scholarship, because you never know when you will need something out of 10th,11th , or even 12th and 13th man

Like Ensor was on his bench telling him how important a Siena win was last night for him, and the MAAC. The amount of minutes our starters put in will show tonight. Especially in the last 10 minutes of the game. I just cant see us getting it done tonight against the best team in the conference.

The bench is horrendous. Ride the four seniors until the wheels fall off. 40 mins each tonight if possible. Only person who should get off that bench is Nico.

I looked at the clock when there were just over 11 minutes left in the first half and noted to myself that I couldn't recall any subs yet at all. I was concerned at that moment that we would really be in trouble for today's game, if they made it.
Really just hoping that the knowledge that their next loss will be their last time in a Saints uniform will give them the focus and energy needed to propel them forward. This is a really big task. We need a lot of breaks to go our way to get past today.

Coached like his job was on the line Two more wins and he gets another year Let's face it if Siena wins tonight patsos will likely be safe for two more years. So in essence this game is worth about $1,000,000 to him, no pressure lol. In all seriousness he did what he had to do to ensure victory. They needed one more stop to get the bench more minutes. We do have a well rested clareth (albeit injured) and the game wasn't overly emotional--pretty much slow down mode the last 7 minutes.

Enjoy the game . . . back in January many posters would have had Siena not even playing tonight . . . Albeit an upset wold be nice but just want to see a competitive game . . . Iona/St Peters should be entertaining too . . . when was last time top four seeds were in the MAAC semis - don't know.

Win the game, being competitive is such a losers mentality.
