Love being a fan and being with fans talking about the woulda, coulda, shouldas and might bes, but lets be at least a little honest with ourselves - the ONLY way Siena wins the MAAC tourney is if Monmouth and Iona shoot themselves out of a game. That's it, the only way. Some will categorize me as a "Hater" but I love Siena! Agree with Monmouth not sure on Iona - not the same team. They do not look good. Back to not defending and Severe/Cassell are not English. Washington does not play well against Siena. With a strong game from Nico I believe Siena can beat them. But this tournament will be Monmouth's to lose without a doubt.

It's about unity and team first!
"It’s that idea of one of our pillars is unity, and there's an African proverb that says, if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together. We have some very individually talented guys, but they know when they're in concert with each other, that's their way to touch greatness." -Virginia coach Tony Bennett

um....we don't have Tony Bennett. You have to build that type of culture, actions speak louder than words, and words are spoken without thinking so building a culture that is in 'concert' has been a significant part of the problem all year long. The time to build that culture was while the games didn't matter....
One game at a time. Hell, at this point, I am even going to say the goal should be pared down to winning 4-6 minute stretches each game, better substitutions. And hey.....maybe lets run a play for Brett without him having to propose it to the staff in the huddle. Iona may very well shoot themselves out of a game but I don't see it happening with Monmouth. Perhaps they learned that the court players must be the headliners, not the bench mob of last year which IMHO was a distraction.

They were better last year with the bench mob distraction so maybe it helped.

Who the hell were the 4 people that voted he shouldn't be fired? My god. I'd like to go work for them. Trust me, you could never work for me ... I'd have managed your miserable ass out the door years ago. Attitude is just as important as results and your attitude has always sucked. And, yes, I did vote to say he should not be fired. Of the 4 years he has been at Siena, this is the only truly disappointing. Year one can only be considered a success though revisionist history has kicked in and most out here have forgotten just how low expectations were for that team. Year 2 wasn't what I would have expected but losing Bisping was killer for that team. They were still dealing with a limited roster given the losses to upperclassman from Mitch's team. Year 3 was solid with 21 wins. This year has been up and down to be sure but as poor as they were in December, the Saints have been solid to good since. All that said, I am okay with evaluating the coach and his future at the end of the season. At this point, the full book on this season hasn't been written. I'd like to see where they finish up. I expect them to go 2-1 to finish the regular season to go to 12-8 in the MAAC and 15-16 overall and the 3 or 4 seed in maac. Subpar, sure. Fireable ... probably not especially if they win a game or two in the tournament. Just my 2 cents. Not a problem, you couldn't afford me. You strike me as a middle management ceiling type of guy.
