I think most of the Ua support is through equipment provided to hoops and lacrosse teams. I heard it's way more then precious sponsors provided JP for King!

Looking at Knicksaint's post everything is on the table. He is as informed with regards to Siena as you'll get. Patsos is NOT a lock to return next year. MTS, my words "my expectation" were a response to what I think Gorvy meant by the post on which I commented. I did not say, or intend to say, that everything is on the table from the College's perspective. With that disclaimer out of the way, I have a couple thoughts on why a change is not impossible, subject to the potential determining factor of what a change might cost. First, there are a number of priests and one sister on the Board of Trustees. I find it hard to believe that they are particularly happy with Jimmy's behavior, which is decidedly not Franciscanesque. If you were a Trustee, would you want Jimmy as the face of the College? Second, there are a handful of very passionate basketball fans on the BOT. They cannot be happy with how this season has played out. rdonning reciwth aiwhsA team with four 1,000 point scorers picked to finish second in the MAAC is four games under .500 overall and barely over .500 in league play. Plus, as many have pointed out, Jimmy has only recruited one impact player in the prior three classes and does not appear to have recruited one in the Class entering in the Fall. Numerous recruits have left/been encouraged to leave. Everyone in the MAAC is "really good," no matter what the record of that team may be. And our coach is under .500 in his tenure here, including 0-4 vs. UVM and 1-3 vs. Albany with the highlight being the title in the CBI tournament into which Siena literally bought its way. Again, I am not saying there will be a change or whether there is cause for termination without having to pay the buyout (perhaps a reduced one?), but I will not be shocked if Jimmy is not the coach in the Fall.

KS, looking for the modicum of humor always, I agree that the clergy in power may not be comfortable with Jimmy as the face of the College but there are other parts of the anatomy that he is doing a fine job as a sit-in (pun intended, and not an easy one) substitute for.

I think we owe him a million, so can it be done this year? Sure, but i see no reason why he'd take a reduced buyout. His attitude would be, "You want me out, pay me." Not sure how many guys would have a different one...

New York courts are tough on allowing a "for cause" breach of contract claim against an employee and even more so when a "forfeiture", such as a lost buyout, would be involved. It isn't enough that Jimmy is an embarrassment or even being a bad example for the players. Firing him under a contract requires real conduct with tangible impacts. His on the court antics can't be a surprise to Siena given his Loyola time and we have heard nothing in the press about any incidents. Lonergan gets fired by GW for being allegedly "abusive" to his players and his response is a wrongful termination lawsuit against his former employer. You think this administration or BOT has any stomach for a public airing or fight? "Morals clauses" are often not enforceable as vague as to the conduct prohibited and since they are capable of being enforced arbitrarily. So the kind of generalized beliefs as to Jimmy's public demeanor ain't going to cut it. Unless there is something that management is sitting on with him, the hope above of using his contract against our coach isn't an option.

Maybe Paul Vandenburgh can secure Jimmy a job with the Trump Administration as Undersecretary of Education...

You're right and if history is to be our guide, we can be pretty sure that even if Siena knows it isn't going to work out with SnOwSnOwflake they're content to ride it our and haven't been building a file to expedite the departure.
