Wonder if Siena made it into the NCAA record book: all points came from inside the paint or the foul line - nothing from the outside per post game radio show.

"This season cant end quick enough for me - very disappointing." Yes Sad part is next year looks horrible. Does anyone really have any confidence in low rated recruits Jimmy is bringing in? Playing hard and with emotion only gets you so far- at some point you have to have talent. The drop off after our top 4 is staggering. Friday has some potential- he needs to lose some weight, Khalil has potential, but he is more a small 2 guard than PG. Smithin and Shivers both play hard and are tough SOB’s but have very little offensive ability. I cringe when either one of those guys shoot more than 15 feet from basket, they toss up bricks. Huerter doesn’t even look at hoop. EF is over matched physically at D1 level. Next game watch what happens when he comes in, opposing team immediately isolates him inside, usually an easy score for opponent. WB is so far in dog house don’t have any idea what’s going on with him. Coming in next year Horn- kid looks like he can shoot, big question on him is he quick enough to play at MAAC level- had 2 other offers ( interest) both from low major programs. Manny Camper, 6’3” WF, plays at smallest level in Maryland and no other D1 offers. Prince Oduro- 6’7” PF- good athletic ability, but struggling adjusting to American game, did nothing last summer in AAU and all his offers “dried” up. Not having an overwhelming prep season. And of course we already have Roman Penn who had no offers coming out of high school. Any of those kids could end up decent- but with all the seniors graduating and playing time available – Siena should have had their picks of mid major type players- this staff just couldn’t get it done. Make no mistake about it, next year’s team will have serious lack of talent – will be one of least “talented” Siena teams since program returned to D1 in late 70’s - not my idea of "building" a program. Next year will be our 7th or 8th losing season in last 9 years. Siena is a bad program. Team will have athletic ability of a D2 team

Maybe it's a reflection of JP'a hidden disdain for how Siena handled him and drove the MAAC under Fran and his ultimate revenge has been achieved!

No but what if he did want to get tossed to give Gregg an opportunity?....it was pretty obvious Gregg was fighting an uphill battle but the tone of the time outs were definitely improved after JP was sent to the locker room. Maybe JP cuts a deal to walk if Gregg takes over?

We are stuck with him probably until a year before his deal ends. Unless d'arg hears Duke is going to hire him to replace coach k and extends jimmy again. Dope.

Greg has no history as head coach, and has been at his side through all these recruiting disasters

There are all sorts of creative ways it could be handled. Boosters could cough up to create a position within department focused on corporate business development. Paying out the last year in some other way might be worth it because as fans we would have to give Gregg a fair shot. Can't be any worse, could be a lot better. Just my random thoughts...

Who is going to apply to take this mess over?

Hard to believe but Jimmy is going to leave a bigger mess for his successor than Mitch left him.

It'll be nice to have St Rose as a crosstown rival in place of UA.

It's still a good job. The team was under .500 and 7,200 fans showed up. We just need somebody to make a good hiring decision.
