Siena travels to St. Peter's on Thursday for their third game in six days. The Saints last win at St. Peter's, 1/28/2010. These Saints have never won at St. Peter's, it will be their last chance to gather an elusive win at the Yanitelli Center.
Both teams fighting for that second spot in the MAAC standings. Let's hope the Saints have some gas left in the tank for this one.
Game will be televised on ESPN3.

Since Siena edged St. Pete's 4 games ago, St. Peter's has gone 3-0, besting Quinnipiac, Rider, and Fairfield (sound like a familiar schedule?).
Both teams played last night so they'll be on equal short rest. No one needs to be reminded of this regime's historical success in these spots - both on the 2 day turnaround and at Yanitelli. Those schedule troubles coupled with uncertainty on player availability because of last night's scuffle will undoubtedly make a difficult game prep all the more challenging.
If they can pull this one out, it will definitely send an alert notice to the rest of the league...

Yeah, I agree, 4 game winning streak is great but winning this one would really be a statement game that this team is a force to be reckoned with. A loss and we are back to so-so Jimmy.

If the rest of the team has a typical game, I predict a surprisingly easy win IF Lavon continues to play like a senior whose days are numbered and wants no regrets.

A joke pointing to the irony of getting a tattoo with "no regrets" misspelled being the ultimate regret. Specifically that's from a recent Mily Way commercial, and any time someone says "no regrets" I can't not hear that huge bald dude say "Regerts?!" At this point it's just a reflex.

Agree, except for the last sentence. Siena can win, even w/o MW at St Peter's but Siena could also lose this game. Losing this one game, IMO, shouldn't automatically put Jimmy back in so-so status. I'd wait to see how team does over the next 4-5 game stretch.

I'd wait to see how team does over the next 4-5 game stretch. The fact is, under Jimmy, Siena has been absolutely terrible in road games on short rest. Winning this one would be encouraging cause it would show some development and give hope that he can be more than so-so Jimmy.

I still think I got SPU mostly right this year. I just overrated much of the rest of the league.
Their rebounding is way down and so is their FG% as I thought it would be...but their defense and ballhawking improved enough to offset it.
Siena sucks at SPU.
Even with Siena's +8.4 MAAC only rebounding advantage over SPU and their regained devotion to the 2 point shot, there is no guarantee that this team can get it done in Jersey where they've failed countless times before.
SPU shot horrendously last time..at home it's probably a different story.

JP was actually trying to defuse the scuffle by trying to calm Baggett down - it looked worse when one of our assistants was removing JP's coat while trying to restrain him - looked to all the world like JP was shedding the Mark Thomas duds and getting ready to duke it out....the road to hell is paved with good intentions.....
