Yeah, I agree, 4 game winning streak is great but winning this one would really be a statement game that this team is a force to be reckoned with. A loss and we are back to so-so Jimmy. Agree, except for the last sentence. Siena can win, even w/o MW at St Peter's but Siena could also lose this game. Losing this one game, IMO, shouldn't automatically put Jimmy back in so-so status. I'd wait to see how team does over the next 4-5 game stretch. I agree, just hope no one ends up in the pool on the way out!

This is a game we would probably lose with Quis- Jimmy hasn't won at SPC since he's been at Siena- And Siena hasn't won there since Fran was coach. I'd be pleasantly surprised with a W- expecting a L- I mean this is the MAAC ST Peter's is good!!!

I'd wait to see how team does over the next 4-5 game stretch. The fact is, under Jimmy, Siena has been absolutely terrible in road games on short rest. Winning this one would be encouraging cause it would show some development and give hope that he can be more than so-so Jimmy. I think it could be argued that playing the game without MW would be somewhat of a mitigating factor, but that is just me. Now a short-handed win would really be encouraging.

Of course it would be better to have Marquis, but some degree of pressure comes off in his absence. Perhaps the guys play loose and pull off the win. Hoping for a fun game, but they're ALWAYS ugly down there.

If we play with the same intensity that we did in the second half last night, I like our chances.

Is there a bus going down? Team needs some support down there. I can't make the trip.

@marksingelais: Siena's game notes point out the Saints' four-game win streak matches program's longest since 2009-10.

Since Siena edged St. Pete's 4 games ago, St. Peter's has gone 3-0, besting Quinnipiac, Rider, and Fairfield (sound like a familiar schedule?). Both teams played last night so they'll be on equal short rest. No one needs to be reminded of this regime's historical success in these spots - both on the 2 day turnaround and at Yanitelli. Those schedule troubles coupled with uncertainty on player availability because of last night's scuffle will undoubtedly make a difficult game prep all the more challenging. If they can pull this one out, it will definitely send an alert notice to the rest of the league... Yeah, I agree, 4 game winning streak is great but winning this one would really be a statement game that this team is a force to be reckoned with. A loss and we are back to so-so Jimmy. So a loss on the road, without our best player, where we haven't won in 7 years, to a team that has won 4 of its last 5 (guess who beat them), would wash away the 4 game winning streak, and we're right back to the negative board? Makes sense.

Makes sense. It's not going to wash away the 4 game winning streak just like a win isn't going to wash away the 4 game losing streak prior to that, those both happened. The fact is, this is exactly the sort of game that Jimmy's record has been terrible at in his time with Siena. They don't win on the road with short rest. To pull down this win while shorthanded would be a huge win and a big sign that things are moving in the right direction and that maybe Jimmy can change.

I disagree that a loss short-handed would indicate a return to "so-so Jimmy". That logic doesn't make sense to me. That said I am sure we both are looking forward to a win tonight.

Personally, I think a 4 game winning streak is a pretty big sign that things are going in the right direction. Outside of Hofstra and Vermont (two games where the Saints were thoroughly outplayed, out coached and out hustled), the Saints have been competitive in every game this year. They now go to St Peters without the backcourt that was expected to lead them to the top of the MAAC this year. Big Challenge.

They have just won 3 games in 5 days, this makes 4 games in a week, 4-0 or 3-1 is winning on short rest. They are underdogs and on the road without their high scorer if they lose will anyone be surprised or upset at the coach? I won't be.

Of course my statement isn't viewed too highly since I probably would be upset, but still cheer the team on, even if the team weee in a 20+ game losing streak.

Pretty sure we all know who is going to be upset with the coach should they lose tonight.
