Games I'd really like to have back Rider and Niagara. Get another shot at both. But if we were 9-9, 6-1 how different does the season look? Oh well have to move forward.

Fairfield plays good defense so I am interested to see how the offense does without nico on Tuesday.

? I don't know you - but this post literally made me get an actual computer out to dislike this post (no disrespect to you as a person, who I don't know), and disagree accordingly. You DO realize the margin for error has been razor thin thus far right? You DO realize the player that's been asked to step away from the team was, aside from the Fairfield game, abominably ineffective right? You DO realize that the team seems to be buying into a defensive concept (not talking about one guy trying to shoot a lane once a game for a run-out dunk), right? You DO realize that our A-10 transfer PG and our All-MAAC guard are actually thriving in tandem, right? You can call it a coincidence, but Nico's decline in minutes (17, 3, 0) has coincided with an increase in victories. I sincerely hope that he returns to the program, but he was clearly a harbinger on this team's neck. Let's not ignore that. Hey just wanted to let you know you don't have to break out your Commodore 64 to dislike oneindians posts anymore. All you have to do is click on "desktop", located in the green bar near the bottom of the page. Then, after you have released your venom you can switch back to mobile, located at the very bottom of the screen. Thanks for the IT assistance, gorv!

Who the hell uses laptops anymore? As you would say, See above post 😬 We just utilize the latest technology; mobile devices, vdi, and the cloud I can't tell you the last time I accessed anything on a hard drive. I can't be bothered with dinosaur technology.

I sincerely hope that he returns to the program, but he was clearly a harbinger on this team's neck. Let's not ignore that. I agree he was part of the issue just not the entire issue. YOU DO REALIZE ... This team has not shot the ball well, has not played defense well, has been unprepared at times, has lacked focus, has had other players injured, has had another player suspended and is not deep team. As far as today goes .... You do realize FF shot 3 - 22 from three today don't you? That all wasn't due to defense. FF missed some wide open shots. It happens. Did we play better today? Absolutely. So all I'm saying there were/are more issues at play than Nico. Some still exist. Just wait till we drop 2 in a row you'll read all about them right here ...... Well- let’s put this in perspective- no denying staff had a good game plan and kids executed it. Not sure what game you were watching OI- but FF got very few open looks from 3, and the FF kids that did get open looks were not shooters, if you give up something, you let kids that can’t shoot, shoot from 3- Nelson, Cobb and Johnson were covered all day and shooting with hand in there face. Now if you want to say why team wasn’t prepared like that all year, and will that continue- both valid points. I’m not thinking the world has changed with modest win streak. You’re right team still can’t shoot, isn’t deep. But this team was headed for single digit win season and bottom 2 to 3 finish in MAAC - since the dismissal of Nico team chemistry is noticeably better. Ball movement is noticeably better, defense noticeably better. Smithin compliments Quis, much better, and Kadeem really puts a tremendous amount of “EFFORT” into Defense, something I don’t thing we were seeing from Nico. Richards had his best game in long time, playing without looking over his shoulder. Even EF played much better grabbing 5 boards and hitting a 3 in 9 min of action. Team is now playing like its capable of top 4 finish. Does that make up for horrible start to season, of course not, does it guarantee team chemistry and defensive effort will continue- of course not. None of this is surprising, just wish coach had handled situation earlier in season and had more clearly defined “roles” he should never have allowed Nico to be out of control the way he was for so long, he shouldn’t have been playing a 6’9” kid that was chucking bad shots up and not rebounding. I’ve been saying a long time he isn’t stinky Jimmy. Team has a steep hill to climb to even get back to 500 and this will go down as under achieving bad season. But for now—it looks better, and I think even Jimmy’s harshest critic would have a hard time arguing against that

Yes they are playing much better. Love to see them finish 500 for the season or better. May be a tough mountain to climb but doable with some luck, and yes this group could use some. Tony is right in that lets not forget what got the team into this situation. Inaction by the coach in terms of tem chemistry, this is based on what we are told by the media. Poor game management, poor recruiting, basically poor evolvement of the players coached to become better. Hopefully the team buckles down and continues their winning ways. Love to see this group go out strong with the struggles of the last 4 years.
