Can't use a 2 day turnaround as an excuse when you appear to have game planned on the perimeter. If fatigue is an issue, you pound the paint instead of betting on 'tired' legs to hit long 2's or 3's.

We could be looking at 0fer on the road this season. somebody from the fan bus should coach the team on the road, they can't do any worse.

If we spent half as much time in the gym and on game prep as we do sightseeing and thinking up excuses we might be above .500.

The bench is so weak that the core have to play too many hard minutes. We don't have a post player that can give us valuable minutes to give our starters a rest. EF and WB not very good options right now. I say give the Huerter kid some minutes. 6'-7" with a high BB IQ should translate to some good minutes.

All I want for Christmas is a 3 point specialist that can light it up.

Remember, this class sans Mitch's recruits (who up to now have held it together) started with a point guard who wanted to be a 2 guard and a talented and crafty 4 whose agent grabbed the coaches by the balls into playing him at the 3. Is there any wonder that we now have so many square pegs trying to fit into round holes? I just really don't see right now how Wright, Long, Clareth, JO and Brett mesh. Bring on the bench/subs and it gets even more rocky. Again, just MHO.

I cant wait to hear the presser... this was a game we were scheduled to lose... tough to play on a short turn around, especially on the road... Rider is a much better team than we thought they were going to be... They were supposed to be the bad 3 point shooting team... Long, although he missed the bus to shoot around still played a great game... I didnt think (insert any Rider Jersey number) was as good as he was and he showed us tonight... I'm not worried about wins and losses right now its early December and I have a lot of easy MAAC games coming up the rest of the year to get me to .500, what more did you expect?... Free throws hurt us but no one is as upset that we missed them as the guys that missed them, we work on them in practice all the time so what else am I supposed to do as a coach???
I have to imagine the JP spin zone is going to be in FULL effect tonight.

Tough road loss, quick turn around tough when you have no depth. Plus we know Jimmy is 8-26 at Siena on quick turnaround games. Have to be able to hit free throws. Other than Richards the bench I'll be kind and say is struggling. Need Friday back for some depth up front. We aren't strong enough to be playing EF 10 to 20 min a game, kid is lost out there. Its hard to win on road, just ask Jimmy..LOL its all about MAAC tournament anyway Is it a fair inference from your comment that if we had not played EF 10 minutes tonight we would have been strong enough to win? How is that different? Dude do we have to go thru this exercise. I'm sure EF is playing as hard as he can out there- please go just check out his shooting pct, rebounds and actually watch the kid try to play defense. Winning teams do not have players with those kind of stats playing 10 to 20 min a game. Of course its not all on EF-- its on his coach for putting the kid in position that he has to play 10 to 20 min a game. Hope that helps

Here I'll give you his stats-12.3 min a game shooting 25% from floor, 13% from 3, 1.7 boards..and the stats dont show you him trying to play defense. EF has more personal fouls than rebounds. Kid is really struggling

LL is very serviceable 3 who can switch off to the 4 with BB out there. MW was averaging 18 pts and 4.6 ass't coming into the game, so he is either a high scoring 1 or a playmaking 2, does it matter? Then there is NC, 6th man as frosh, who most games does his part. I think that gives you 5 pretty good players to run with. The new faces, all of them, even the sophs (r/s or not) have been pretty disappointing most games. But more importantly, too many games already this year the team has played just badly enough to lose, and that goes to JP (whom I still support, but my enthusiasm is waning). There is still hope for the season, afterall it is almost the same team as last year, but there needs to be some changes in how they go about things, and fast.

After simultaneously watching/listening to two mind boggling basketball games, I did not state clearly that my issue is we are not playing to any of the strengths we have. IMHO something has been off with Marquis the last three games, can't put my finger on it; but his body language during the St. Bonnies presser and the subsequent FF presser tells me something is off.

In the last nine minutes, based on the ESPN play by play, Siena scored five points on 1-15 shooting from the field, 3-8 from the foul line and 7 TO's. This with four seniors and a soph who was Sixth Man of the Year last season. I am so frustrated with the rhetoric about how tough it is to win on the road, to play two games in three days, etc. Completely unacceptable.
Things can still turn around, but it is more and more difficult to maintain optimism that they will. And if they don't, I believe we need to clean house.
