GB might have something regarding MW. To make a point though are the MAAC coach's off not packing him first team. Yes he was dejected but do they the coach's see something we don't or can't, is MW a closer or just can't handle the pressure. I hope GB is right and the coach's wrong. Personally I think MW is putting to much pressure on himself and affecting his game. Just saying.
As for the rest of the team, Herter supposedly can shoot the 3, EF has what 2 inches on him but obviously not his BB IQ. Not sure listening to the game how we got so many offensive rebounds went back up and no fouls called. JO and BB to big not to get fouled going back up. The backup guards small forward, I'll give them the games up to date they're new. But now is time to step forward.

What a horrible loss this was... Siena was up 65-58 with 5:47 left and was outscored 13-4. Siena scored 5 points the final 9:01. Hard to believe this is a senior experienced team built to be a MAAC contender.
Asheville, UA, Rider three dreadful losses. Not to mention GW.
At 3-6 if the turnaround doesn't start soon it's going to get really ugly.

28% from the field in second half, 3-9 from line and 5 points in final 9 minutes. How the hell did they have a shot to win this game on the final possession? Good teams gut out these wins, they are getting closer on the road. Keep the faith, this team will roll off 8 or 9 wins in a row soon.

The other thing that gets me is the disciplinary issues this team appears to repeatedly have, it's just a lack of respect for teammates and staff. I dont know the cause but it's occurring far too often for my liking. I don't like what I'm seeing from a player or mgmt level.

Lots of missed opportunities! GREAT game for Long! Hr did, but missed 3 of 4 from the line late. Team loss. The biggest issue was the guard play.. Mark Singelais "Nico Clareth and Marquis Wright missed shot after shot and the Siena men's basketball team paid for it on Monday night. "The two Saints guards were a combined 8-for-39 from the field and Clareth fired long on a 3-point attempt for the win as time expired in a 71-69 defeat at Rider before 1,511 at Alumni Gym."

It seems that there's a game within a game going on between these two. Not great for team play.

Does anyone have a link to JP's presser or can summarize it? Curious to hear what he said afterwards.

These stats are incomprehensible Reading through the thread I think many people have valid points. The kids have to hit their shots and FTs. On the other hand, if players aren't following the game plan coaches need to pull them and if they aren't hitting their shots call a different players number for a few trips down the floor to get others involved taking some of the pressure off the shooters. Finally, PPC always used to post about player development, well when the guys on the floor aren't executing why not give the bench a REAL chance to develop. The team is already 3-6 what in the world could it hurt the give Richards, Huerter, WB some real run in games that nothing else seems to be working? FWIW, let me take away any doubt about where I stand - Jimmy is not the guy who is going to run a program that consistently, if ever, reaches Siena's stated goals for the mens basketball program.

Time to stop punishing Richard for the Albany game, he should be our top guy off the bench or the starter if they insist on bringing Nico or Long off the bench. As unfair as it is to Shivers, they are going to need to start working on lineups with him in practice playing the 3 and 4 cause when Bisping, Long, and Ogunyemi get in foul trouble it clearly can't be Fisher that is coming in. Unless Brandwijk or Friday get healthy and can clearly contribute we need to be able to flex between a big team and a four guard team depending on foul/game situations. Time to give Huerter some run too, see if he's going to be able to help at all this year, certainly can't hurt more than Fisher. Not sure what is up with Smithen but he's looking like a second wasted scholarship at this point (maybe third if you count Brandwijk).

Sorry Gorvy - I knew that was what you meant. I was just trying to tie the players, coaches and stats together as to why the team lost last night and a few other times this year when IMO it should not have....
