There was a remark from JP in his post game comments was a bit strange (gee, what a surprise!). He mentioned that Evan Fisher had a really good game; he stated EF played 8 minutes and really didn't do anything but at least he didn't take a 3. Not sure why JP was so pleased with that, as Evan did have a good 3 point stroke (and hopefully will again)and was looked on before the season as our best sniper. If EF is going to be in the rotation, we need him to be comfortable popping the open 3's.

We're not running enough for Bisping.
If you want to win in crunch time consistently, find offense for your (usually) best FT shooter.

I wouldn't say wright was solid tonight I would actually say he played poorly. Good games from lavon and javion and of course Nico. Shivers did a lot of little things and made some big time plays tonight. I think he should remain in the top 8 going forward. He just needs to atleast pretend to be a threat to score in the half court. This was a good win to open up the MAAC.

Literally saw fisher pump fake and bite his lip driving to the hoop with his head down and eyes closed on one play. Just feel bad for the kid. He plays hard but has cement blocks for feet

You can see why Shivers would have played at Temple if he was 3 inches taller. Very pleased with this addition.
A little worried about Smitten. We heard during RS year he was a B+ in practice. It is just not translating.

It is just not translating. Yeah he plays under control and seems solid but he is not a dynamic player as advertised by some who saw him last year and earlier this year in practice. A lot of "wait until you see this kid you're going to love him." He seems like it may take him some time to gel but even then I'm not sure he'll be a game changer

Nice win against a solid team. BIG 5 did all the scoring. This team needs to figure out how to get 2 guys off the bench to produce (yeah yeah I know Nico .... Nico is not a bench guy, he's a starter). I think you need to go with Richard and Shivers, I'm a bit disappointed in Smithen so far. He just can't seem to get it going. Also gotta hit foul shots and improve on defense, it's gonna cost us more games.

Nice win-- we played very good in portions of game, and very undisciplined in others. Nico was da man out there. We eventually have to get something out of bench-- yeah its great SHivers did some good things ( he struggled defensively ) But you can't have Shivers and Fishers giving you goose eggs- at least shivers had 2 rebounds and 2 assists which is much more than 0 rebounds that EF gave us. Richards and Smithin are odd men out right now only playing min or 2 here and there. On to Rider, I'll hope for best but dont like our chances, this staff's record with 1 day turnaround is horrible. Both Brett and Nico played a lot of min so hopefully they can ice down knee's and be ready to play Monday

I don't know how much is ability/skill and how much is fear of coach/game plan, but when Smithen and Richards play together it's like neither look to score or pretend they're going to shoot. They stay up top and pass it along the perimeter. If Richards is a shooter then let him shoot and draw up some plays. I like his defensive quickness and handle otherwise

Even Marquid and Nico struggled with them at times

Nice to get back home. MAAC play off to a good start.
An inconsistent but solid effort and win tonight. Tyler Nelson came off as a really petty player, looking for or simulating fouls on multiple occasions. He's too good of a player to resort to that kind of thing. Gamesmanship it was not.
On to the next one, Saints. Congrats on 200 Jimmy.

Not saying we cant beat Rider- but JP's record is 8-25 here at Siena with one day turn around
