If the staff pulled a diamond here, it just means an embarrassment of riches in the frontcourt this year. Fisher has to be worried.
Still, this does little to change our fate as they can't all play. We need good guard play.

I guess it really depends on whether in two years Degnan and/or Brandwijk are actually capable of playing the 3 effectively. If so then there is room for everyone. If not then there will be at least one odd man out.

The weird thing is our best 3pt shooters are our bigs. By quite a bit IMHO.

Staff is also pretty high on Khalil Richard. Was told he had offers from a couple of A10 offers before he got hurt. Reportedly can really score it.

Patsos told me he'll remind people of Tay Fisher - a sniper from long range. The team could use one of those coming of the bench. Supposedly he scores in bunches. Would be nice to know we have a backcourt offensive threat on the floor if Nico and Marquis are both out of the game at the same time. Especially since word is offense is not Smithen's forté.

Well if you can't stop Monmouth Iona and Manhatten ... hitting a few 3's won't matter much. We didn't have problems scoring the ball last year we just couldn't stop anyone on D with more athleticism. As far as I see it we have 2 issues 1 turnovers 2 stopping more athletic teams - did we improve enough in this area?

No it is not a bad thing. It's just another case of role player syndrome. We have Offensive players. We have Defensive players. But we have few guys locked up for beyond this year that are both.

If that role is future Globetrotter, they're welcomed with open arms.

Fisher, Brandwyck, and Degnan can hit the 3. Patsos has to instill the Lambier attitude in all 3 like he did with Brett. Rebound and take charges. That also goes for Friday.

WB can be an impact guy on both sides. He has real tangible defensive playmaking ability. Bisping's drawing of charges is something that he had before Siena as it is evident by his highlight video. It's a natural instinct. Most players just don't have it. Fisher averaged just 4.3 boards per 30 mins. He has to improve that a lot or he can't play. Degnan averages over 6. That's still not super great but it's a lot better. JO isn't great but he's at 6 at least. WB averaged 6 boards per 30 as a frosh but he improved as time went on and really only had 1 bad rebounding month. WB Rebounds per 30 mins: November- 6.4 December- 2.6 January- 6.8 February- 7.3 March- 9.5 WB also gets a lot of steals with his energy and blocked more shots in his 1 year than Fisher and Degnan combined did in 3. The real question is will the staff give him the chance to be that guy.
