So, instead of a home game with UAPB and a game at UNCA as in 2016-17, we have two presumably mid-to-low major games in Uncasville, CT in 2018-19. Shades of 2015-16, except there is no away game like Bryant. Maybe we can go 26-5 in the regular season this year and elevate ourselves to being a host team for two games and then playing in the upper echelon bracket. One can dream, can't one?

It has happened once in 2013...Fairfield played Louisville and then Richmond. I'm sure Ensor will realize the Siena fanbase will come and support. Until then, Just keep winning, baby.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the games and look forward to them. My concern is when you schedule lower ranked teams and beat them it tells you nothing about how good or bad Siena is. We are expected to beat them. If you lose to them, it does tell you something about the team. Games against GW, HOfstra, Northeastern, Bonnies, etc give you a good idea of the strength of the team, win or lose. It tells you how much improvement, if any, is needed if you expect to compete at that level. Also teams from lower ranked conferences do nothing to increase attendance whereas teams from higher conferences do increase attendance and make season tickets more attractive. In any event I have had season tickets since John Griffin days and expect to continue to get them. Just wish the home schedule was better. And this is exactly why the teams we want to see Siena play won't play them

but here is the thing.............it isn't easy scheduling, we know that, but both Darg & Jimmy need to be a little bit more aggressive and sell the reasons for playing Siena........teams should know that going on the road and playing (possibly losing) to a solid mid-major (if we have truly arrived to that level), is not something that will HURT their resume.........in fact, it does the opposite, it helps their resume by showing the committee you went out on the road to play challenging games............same thing on the flip for Siena, who needs to go out on the road an either player higher end teams or match up with other potential power mid-majors.......it will only benefit the possible seeding down the road should they win the league!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand the UAPB game will be played 11/22 or 11/23. Game at St. Bona will follow the Albany game. Bucknell is due in on 12/17, games at Hofstra and home vs. Vermont will end the OOC portion of the schedule.
If the MAAC goes to 18 league games in 2017-18, look for an A10 opponent on the home schedule that year.
