Hear we open at home on 11/13 (Sunday) vs. Cornell, then go to GW on 11/15, to Kansas on 11/18 and to UNC-Asheville on 11/20. If the Albany game is on 11/27 as JP previously indicated, there could be another home game before Thanksgiving.

At least we start with a home game before the tough road schedule .

Wish we didn't open on a Sunday and compete with the NFL. Plus ideally you'd like another day or two to prepare for George Washington - which should be a good game and very winnable.
Also believe the Florida Gulf Coast game will be played on 12/9 it was reported on this board a while back.
11/13 vs. Cornell 11/15 @ George Washington 11/18 @ Kansas 11/20 @ UNC-Ashville 11/27 @ UAlbany 12/9 @ Florida Gulf Coast
Dates to be announced:
@ Hofstra TBD @ St. Bonaventure TBD vs. Vermont TBD vs. Bucknell TBD vs. Arkansas Pine-Bluff TBD

I'm guessing the UAPB game will precede the Albany game. There is a time limit within which all of the games in an exempt event must be played.

The Cornell opener will end that series. Cornell will be replaced on the schedule by Holy Cross.

Glad to see us adding a Boston area team but would have liked Haevard or Northeastern

WOW! Cornell, UNC-Ashville, Fla Gulf Coast, Albany, Vermont, Bucknell, Ark-Pine Bluff. Evidently Little Sisters of the Poor were already booked up! Should win 20 games easily.

I agree that we should win 20 games (plus) but the schedule isn't the bunch of cupcakes people think it is. UNC-Ashville and Florida Gulf Coast both made the NCAA tournament last year and both return most of their top players. Vermont is always pretty good and we need to finally beat them. UAlbany loaded up on JUCOs and will be competitive. Bucknell won the Patriot league regular season. Hofstra, St. Bonaventure lose some talent but both are solid programs and both games will be on the road. GW won the NIT. And Kansas is Kansas of course. This schedule doesn't have the big time "names" (other than Kansas) but it is a pretty solid schedule IMO. Should we have tried to play in a neutral site tournament with a senior dominated team? That is definitely a fair question.

Win 14 or more maac games and it will be a good year. Only if they go AT LEAST 8-3 in their non-conference games.

That is definitely a fair question. You really think they didn't try to get in one of those? There are so few true neutral site tournaments left and they all go after the big conference schools leaving very few spots for mid-majors. The only exception is Alaska which now attracts no big conference schools. The Advocare is the only good shot a MAAC school is going to get at big schools on a neutral court. www.bloggingthebracket.com/2015/11/30/9810744/2016-17-college-basketball-early-season-tournaments-events-MTE-neutral-site
