Does this exclude players who made the D-League now? Otherwise doesn't make sense. 91% would be 10 out of 11. There should be 14 players included, no way to get 91% out of 14:
2005 Joao Braga Kenny Hasbrouck Levi Osby
2006 James Carr Corey Magee Alex Franklin Edwin Ubiles Ronald Moore
2007 Chris De La Rosa Clarence Jackson Stephen Priestley Ryan Rossiter
2008 Owen Wignot Kyle Downey
Last year was 82% which equates to 14/17 and included the 12 in the 2005-2007 classes plus 2004: Jack McClinton Al Fisher Tay Fisher Kojo Mensah Marshall Taylor
Either way impressive numbers and the current cohort is the McCaffrey glory years. Next year Anosike, Breeden, and Martens go in and then we have to hope Cheech and Chong don't kill us the following year.

All 11 DI sports, not just Men's basketball. It also breaks down the GSR by sport, using a four-year class average (2005-2008) called a cohort rate to provide a big enough sample. Eleven of Siena's Division I sports posted perfect 100% cohort GSRs: men's cross country, men's tennis, women's cross country, field hockey, women's golf, women's soccer, softball, swimming and diving, women's tennis, volleyball and water polo. Siena's men's basketball program surpassed the cohort GSR national average by a large margin, boasting an 91% cohort GSR according to the report, 17 percentage points higher than the national average of 74%. The women's basketball program registered a 77% cohort GSR.

Great to hear!
Thankfully we're not UConn...they just improved their percentage in mens' basketball to twenty percent. That's terrible.

GSR doesn't penalize the school for transfers that leave in good academic standing and graduate from the next school. It also takes into account all sports. "The NCAA developed the GSR because the Federal Graduation Rate (FGR) does not credit institutions with student athletes who leave in good academic standing and go on to graduate, or transfers into the school who graduate."

Heard Ubiles didn't graduate. Any truth to that?

Yeah, that is why Siena's GSR jumped when adding Wignot and Downey and losing Mensah and one other from the 2004 class that transferred and never graduated.

Great numbers for ALL student athletes. Do all sports get full scholarships? I seem to recall reading that is not the case. Separation of male and female athletes data would be interesting as well.

Early departures for NBA and professional contracts count against all schools GSR. For UCONN the numbers are going up rapidly under Kevin Ollie. Bet most here wouldn't care if we had the national championships they have

No, not all sports get scholarships or full ships. Many teams the do get ships split them amount the players so each receive a little. I'm not sure I understand the ship part and why that matters. Siena graduates 90% and men's BBall at least 80%. Again, the school can't force students to learn, they can only offer the opportunity to learn and obtain a degree. Students select their majors, not the school. If student wants to major in creative arts it's their choice. Siena has guidance cou sleep available to help students decide/choose if they don't know what they want; but it's still their choice.

Yes but Siena can choose students that are good at school and not offer junk majors.
