Stop, stupid comment and green with envy have a little class I call it like I see it... AE basketball is hard to watch. People bag on the MAAC compare that SBU-UA game to Siena-Iona last week. Made the MAAC look like the ACC. Good for Hooley. I lost my father at 14 - it's a horrible thing to lose a parent that young. JO went through it too with his mother so did Ubiles/Downey it's horrible. Grow up.

Stop, stupid comment and green with envy have a little class Exactly, oneindian. Great win. MTS' entire life is Siena basketball and has no association to the school - it is an extremely sad story. Albany now has the same number of NCAA appearances as Siena and in half the time. Or, 5 times more than Siena had in the old NAC/current AE. 6 to 5, Scott...to be accurate. Hey maybe UA to take over the town...they can go to the TUC and Siena will be back to the ARC. I'll be perfectly happy rooting on Siena in the ARC. We'll go back to being the little underdog in Albany. Good for UA...I'm sure they take their 14 seed and be a tough out.

MTS , you mean you would actually go to games if they were at the ARC. Man does U A have the luck . Saw the end and some of the beginning . Saw them get a bad in the act of shooting call early on. Next year they'll have two NYS residents on the team. Good luck to wily Will and his boys.

Great job by UAlbany team and coaches. They struggled the whole game but kept grinding to keep game close and then hit the shot when it counted. That is the definition of Will Brown basketball. Congrats to "my" UA team, coaches and players. Go Danes!

One thing I like about this UA team is that they play better than the sum of their parts, so to speak. This is a trait common to the Saints teams of the past that we remember so fondly.
I would still argue that this year's Saints, discounting injuries, are a more talented team overall. But they rarely played like it. The chemistry that the team developed in the latter half of last season was absent for most of this year. I blame a lot of that on Brett's absence. He was a leader on the floor that was sorely missed. I think there were other chemistry issues between coaches and/or players that we just don't see as fans. Hopefully those will be resolved for next season.
Back to UA though, they did what was necessary to win. The style points aren't there, but they are going to the dance. I like the lunchbox work ethic and chemistry that they have.

Did Will Brown ever get an offer to leave UA? Did someone say that Bonnies offered him a job, if so when?

Ugly game. Very lucky. Stony Brook choked. It was complete luck. SBU choked like a dog. Sorry Mike... I know you rooted hard against Albany.

It is tough to get to the NCAAs three times in a row and not get an offer to move up. Brown probably gets another offer this year. The question is how big is the offer. That will determine if he stays or goes. It should be better than the Bonnies offer the last time.

I can't believe it was that long ago. Where does my life go? He used that offer to get UA to sweeten his contract. Got to think he would get some other offer now.

Every team in the MAAC looks more talented than UA. And yet we've been getting our ass handed to us compliments of UA and Vt.
