There's nothing wrong with pounding it inside if you have an advantage, the guys hit their shots (and ft's), and are WILLING passers. Rossiter, Franklin, and Miller all averaged over an assist a game. Haddix and Anosike were black holes. Pound it inside bb doesn't excite me in the least unless there is a scoring option on the perimeter. If it's a weapon in the arsenal great. If it's the only weapon we may win some battles but we'll lose the war. If that's the case there would've been no reason to go to JP, Mitch could've stayed for that. If Mitch recruited another OD, he probably would have got his 4th year. And obviously, as I said, the big man has to be a willing passer. I don't think anyone minded pounding the ball in to Alex or Ryan.

Notice the camera is on only one player and Willem happened to sneak in. But you continue to claim you support the whole team. Huh? That's not her video work. Don't be a tool.

Admin has always been a challenge at the school in terms of the program. their new mission statement says they want to raise the standard. hate to say this but maybe they should take the cuffs off of JP and D'arg and perhaps recruit like Joe at Niagara or Clueless at Iona

I would hope they are talking about raising the academic standard.

It’s a talent issue—we are getting next to nothing out of Oliver, White is shooting 14% on the year , Paige is over matched at the 4—and Evan is easy to shoot over defensively – we are missing Brett, Imoh’s toughness and of course Cole was supposed to be a contributor. Jimmy already has 2 good recruits coming in, if he lands Nico and another impact player it turns into a great class . People overreact after a loss. Truth is this team isn’t that good, we might not even get to 500 in MAAC All is not lost – the extra time JO and WB are playing will pay dividends next year. Return of Brett and Imoh solidify us up front. Another year of development of Wright and Lavon, add in hopefully 4 new comers and we will be in good shape. The injuries suck this year, I don’t want to make excuses but if you don’t think the injuries are having a major effect on type year we are having you are not paying attention. Agreed - the current situation is a talent issue, not a coaching issue. I've seen enough from Patsos to be convinced he's a solid upgrade from Mitch. They've gone from having one of the MAAC's weakest offenses to one of its strongest. Though things have admittedly fallen apart on the defensive side, that's a function of personnel losses more than coaching. People here seem to forget that we are just 1.5 seasons into a major rebuilding project. Patsos needs a full 3 classes to turn this around after the mess he inherited. You all like to make comparisons to Fran's start, but forget that Fran inherited a much better foundation of players to build on from one of Siena's all time best recruiters in Lanier. Injuries and defections this season have been a killer in bringing the progress being made to a dead stop. The team has lost two of its best players to injury with Poole being hobbled as well now, and basically has nothing at one of the most important positions on the court - the 2. We have to start from scratch recruiting that position, as well as shoring up depth at the 1 and 3 positions. I like who Patsos has recruited thus far for the next freshman class. If he can get two more quality players who bring to the table what the team currently lacks (toughness, athleticism, speed, and the ability to shoot), they'll be in good shape

Siena, like Manhattan in his first year, had it much easier to sneak up on people. In year two they lose Beamon fell to 14-17 but did make the MAAC finals losing to Iona. Of course the third year they won 25 games and the MAAC championship - I'm sure Siena fans would all sign for that same scenario. I agree with Sienafan - we've got a good core inact. We need two athletic shooters - one of them being capable of starting at SG. If we get them Siena should fully be in the mix to win the MAAC title this season. That said this year is far from over. Hopefully the team can win some games and who knows what can happen in March at the TUC? blog.timesunion.com/collegesports/manhattan-coach-relates-to-sienas-struggles/19560/
