I'll believe it when I see it. Siena is about to get very good again. I highly doubt Boeheim will ever play us at the TUC when we have an outstanding team capable of beating SU. Jimmy can try and coax a series out of Boeheim but the best he'll get is a guarantee game at the dome. It's too bad Papi would not have to travel far to see his beloved Orange. Lol you cant be serious. Syracuse continues to recruit top 20 recruiting classes and Siena is going to be scared to come in and play them. They literally reload every season. Dont be a fool.

Big schools never like to play road games against little schools....let alone when the little school is very experienced. Syracuse should most certainly have the edge no matter what...but don't kid yourself... the big school will stack the deck in their favor as much and as often as they can If they were to ever play the sites would start with long Wright etc as seniors @ Syracuse

I didn't mean to pick on the Siena fans who also double as SU fans. I am not an SU fan and have nothing against them. I think I just touched a nerve! Substitute Villanova, Georgetown, Georgia Tech etc in place for Syracuse. Ask yourself this would Boeheim EVER played Siena with Ubiles, Franklin, Moore, Rossiter and Hasbrouck on the team during the three-peat years? The answer is NO WAY. As Saintsfan said the BCS schools always the stack in their favor against the mid-major. Heck, Siena went to Syracuse early in the Big 3's sophomore year and lost a competitive game they then beat Stanford at home a week later. You think Boeheim wanted to come Albany?? Why do you think Paul Hewitt wanted to play the first game of the Georgia Tech series in Atlanta and then come up here (which Siena won anyway). He wanted no part of the Big 3 at the TUC. I don't care if SU recruits top 20 classes...watch the NCAA tournament veteran talented junior/senior led mid-major programs can beat the big boys with a bunch of 18/19 year old kids. It doesn't matter if their frosh are more talented players. Throw in home court (where the home team wins what 75% of the team in college hoops) and you see why BCS programs almost never travel to play a top mid-major. They've got little to gain and a lot to lose.

Wasnt commenting on the desire to play because you are right on that Syracuse has little to gain in playing Siena was commenting on the sentiment that you seem to think Siena has a great change to beat Syracuse. Outside of teh collapse at the end of the last season Syracuse has consistently been in the top 25 of the country for the past 4 seasons. I get that you all think that big schools dont like to come to little schools and I dont disagree with that. But the original post seemed to imply that Siena would be the favorite over Siena which is just foolish. You comparing Georgia Tech to Syracuse is stupid. Comparing Siena golden era team to a Syracuse team is also pretty stupid. I do watch the NCAA tournament doesnt mean that Siena should expect to beat Syracuse even when they have top senior level talent.

There are still upsets in college basketball. An experienced DI team can beat any other DI team on any given night. Just like in a NCAA tournament game. The best team will win a series... anyone can win one game

I do watch the NCAA tournament doesnt mean that Siena should expect to beat Syracuse even when they have top senior level talent. Hold on - I never said Siena would beat SU or we would expect to beat SU or we would be the favorite - no way. But Jim Boeheim is not going to RISK even the POSSIBILITY of losing to Siena. However small the chance is. That is why he will NEVER play Siena in Albany unless Siena is a poor team like they were Lanier's last year. If Siena played SU during the 2008-2009 in Albany yes Siena would've had a decent chance of winning. That team was a monster and had already beaten BCS programs such as Stanford, Vanderbilt and Ohio State. They also led the #1 team in the country (Louisville) under 7 minutes to go on a neutral court. That Siena team was a legitimate top 30 team. I remember OD Anosike even saying (before his freshmen year) that SU did not want to play Siena ANYPLACE (forget at the TUC) in 2009-2010. Siena struggled to schedule games in the big 3's senior season.

Syracuse may struggle next year, but currently have the #2 recruiting class in the country for 2015. Even if Siena has the dream season people are hoping for this year with 20+ wins, I think that Boeheim likes his Blue chips' chances against Siena. I agree. Why would he be afraid of playing Siena or any team. Its a no brainer to go out to the dome and play if possible. I hope the locals make the trip out to Syracuse and experience what big time is and how it its supported by the community. And there it is. As was said before. No way in hell Syracuse plays in Albany the next three years against Siena. #Scared

Does Syracuse play anyone on the road non-conference? Or anyone worthwhile for that matter non-conference? There is a reason boeheim has as many wins as he does with the cupcake non -conference home schedule they play. Minus Carmelo and you get a ton of regular season wins and a lot of early exits when it matters

More than fair proposal by Patsos. Hope Boeheim and SU agrees to it. We got out there when Lavon, Marquis and the rest of the current sophomores are seniors. SU comes in when theoretically we are rebuilding/reloading more hopefully (Boeheim should like that) and we go back out to the dome the following year. Singelais' blog said the 2015-2016 OOC schedule is already set. We have so far: Home: UAlbany, St. Bonaventure, Loyola, Cornell
Away: Bucknell, Vermont Who are the other games that filled it. Knicksaint (or anyone else) do you know? Hopefully it includes an exempt tournament and a few more attractive opponents?!?

Syracuse playing all these home games also helps fund these programs. JB gets no credit for that though.

Good stuff guys keep it up. If Syracuse and Siena played 100 times what is the outcome? The current teams? I don't know I'd have to watch each team for several games to take a guess. Papi - is Boeheim man enough to accept Patsos 2 for 1 offer? It's more than fair for SU.

Good stuff guys keep it up. If Syracuse and Siena played 100 times what is the outcome? who knows that pussy Boeheim wont come out to Siena to play-- offer is on the table for Cuse to come 2-1-- you would think if Siena has no chance Boeheim would take it right-- and if he doesn't guess he doesn't have as much confidence as you
