Umm didn't we already like promote the assistant coach who was the x's and o's guy? I mean I feel like it happened all recently and stuff. There is no comparison between Manning and Mitch. Apples to oranges. Manning isn't even 30 years old. He's an up and coming star with a great future. He's the type of coach Butler and Xavier promoted when their successful coaches left. The same profile. But that's for hopefully a long ways off. I'm just glad to have him on the staff. Mts is right. The better a analogy is that young coach that came out of Villanova. He was a hot X's and O's assistant destined to be a great head coach. What was his name? Oh wait, never mind.

Was in Maryland this past week. and read a blurb in the BALTIMORE SUN that Dion Wiley who is an incoming freshman at Maryland was the team's leading scorer in each of the first four games . High points 18 in two games and 11 and 14 in the other two.

It was a great experience for both. Lavon was able to play his inside out game efficiently and JO played big strong and tough inside. Greg is a great guy to play for and having his dad on the bench was a special treat. I fully expect this trip to pay off during the season.

Two comments about the picture. One, didn't WB look taller than JO. And second, man, Lavon is looking cut. He really looks in great shape. This is exciting!

Sounds like Javion is playing well defensively. Still not much of offense. Still think the position could be WB's to lose if he plays any semblance of D. There's not even a clear winner between Silas and JO.
Sounds like Lavon is perfecting what he does well. 24 pts is nice but I like the 12 boards more.

I agree with you there....it would be great if he could increase the 5rpg this season... Freethrows are looking automatic as well KK ;"

Lavon looked cut in that picture. JO looks like he's filled out some as well.

I would agree that JO starting at the 5 is the most likely scenario. You could make a case for Brandwijk starting but he is still a frosh. I think Imoh's minutes will go way down. Patrick Cole will play starters minutes but come off the bench as the 6th man. Wright, Poole, Long, Bisping and JO as your starting 5 with Cole, White, Oliver and Brandwijk rounding out your top 9 in the rotation that's pretty good.

If Brett gets a little quicker he will be tough as the starting 3

It's going to be fun finding out! Also I wouldn't argue about JO probably starting, but I personally think WB is going to be a stud. I think he will be a significant contributor to our front line. With the lack of offense we have with our big men (over 6'8"), I think WB's scoring ability is going to have a really important role in getting us over 70 per game. Yes, I'll bring this up again, 70 per.
