Cape Henry 82 Trinity Episcopal 65 Jimmy Paige led Cape Henry with 28 points, and get this, 5 3-pointers. They are now 26-0 going into the Virginia Division 1 state championship game. Cape Henry(#1) vs. Paul VI(#2) today Sat. at 4 pm. This kid is the real deal! Nice going Patsos. Knew he was north of 20 pts despite being the 3rd option on offense. He also had to shoot over 60% from the floor and made his FTs (nice form too). Very efficient & unselfish offensively. He'll need to play more inspired for Jimmy though, especially on D. Today should be a great test. Paul VI is a hell of a team that pasted a solid semi-final opponent last night.

That's quite a statement! Whether exaggerated or not, it's going to be a tough game.

It is not exagerrated (though he wrote it before one player transferred out). Their top 9 players (was 10 before transfer) have DI interest and/or offers, and their best player has not played all year (ACL injury).
PG: Kevin Dorsey (junior, multiple DI offers mid+), Aaron Thompson (frosh widely regarded as top 50 in his class) SG: Josh Reaves (junior, multiple DI offers mid+), Curtis Jones (soph with multiple high major offers) SF: Evan Taylor (senior, mid-major type that Siena and MAAC should get on), Chyree Walker (frosh widely regarded as top 50 in his class) PF: Marcus Derrickson (junior, committed to Georgetown), Tyler Scanlon (soph with mid+ interest) C: Corey Manigault (soph, interest from mid+), and formerly Quadree Smith who transferred out, so I guess they don't have 10 active DI prospects on their roster any longer
Best player is junior Franklin Howard who is injured (ACL) and is a 17U National Team player.

Halftime, PVI up 33-20. Haven't seen much from Paige. The guard for Cape Henry (Hutton I think?) who is going to Quinnipiac looks good.
To be fair, PVI's defense has been overwhelming.

Hutton & Paige will have a nice 4 yr run in the MAAC. Cape Henry's limited O isn't built for PVIs D. Basically dribble drive and kick. Too much 1v1. Maybe they press and try to get into transition with them. Smart money's on PVI though.

Paul VI 64, Cape Henry 56.. from tweets sounded like Paige had a much better 2nd half

From Larry Rubama's tweets, Jimmy had at least 11 points after intermission including a pair of three's.

He's a good looking player. College ready body like Lavon's with room to improve it. He'll need a lot more rebounding effort or he'll see an awful lot of Jimmy's finger in his face.
But he can defend, play off the ball & shoot it from 3 and the charity stripe. Solid addition.

From an earlier post... Paul VI has ONE sr. on the team? There is a big difference between a college sr. and a college fr. I think we all agree on that. In HS that has to be magnified a couple times over. They must be some underclassmen to hold down JP to 11 pts and take out 26-0 Cape Henry.. yowzer!!

they have 4 of the top 15 ranked juniors in the DMV, including #1 and #3. To put that into context, Lavon and Marquise were ranked in the high teens

Paige had 18 points yesterday, 17 in the second half, as Cape Henry cut a 15 point halftime deficit to 2 before finally succumbing to Paul VI.
Anybody who isn't excited about having Jimmy at Siena does not know much about basketball, IMHO.
