Answer-- who is Clarence Jackson- Owen Wignot_ Ryan Rossiter - Alex Franklin- Edwin Ubiles-- all "up" level recruits I agree on Wignot, but I didn't add him because while he had up offers and was solid, he did not produce as an impact player. Jackson had Richmond as I recall which is up, but not A-10 level and Rossiter had the red shirt Providence offer. I don't recall Franklin's offers but if you say so I'll buy it. But I think we agree that it will be a couple more winning seasons for Siena to get back into that type of hunt, but you can always dream. Ubiles hand an offer from Seton Hall - right?!

Ubiles actually did have higher offers. There were special circumstances there. Judging some of the kids that played their final two three seasons under Mitch is not exactly fair. Some of those guys were recruited as role players and because Mitch couldnt sign impact players... or even really maac players... they wound up having to be go-to players.

I think this debate is way overblown. With the young talent on the roster, Siena poised to have a nice run. Wright and Long are kids to build around. As I've said, I see White developing into a Faison/Archbold type player ... I don't have a good feel for what JO and Wolfe will develop into. With a full year under their belt plus an off season to work on strength and individual skills, I do not believe it is a stretch to expect improvement from all the freshman in 2014/2015. Then, Poole will be a 1st or 2nd team all maac preseason pick next year. Bisping may be headed towards all maac status given his play in conference this year. I wont discuss Hymes other than to say he is a valuable role player and Silas has shown flashes of what could be. Finally, you have Cole and whatever freshman are brought in. Not sure what to expect out of them. The maac is losing an awful lot of talent from teams at the top of the standings: Baron, Perez, Heath, Beamon, Brown, Alvarado, Azotan, Shannon, Bowman, Armand, Myles and Stewart graduating (among others and in no particular order). (Interesting to note how senior dominant all of the top teams are this year) Outside of Iona, all of those teams have major questions to answer. I don't think Siena needs to rely on next years freshman to head to the top of the maac. Jimmy and his coaching staff have the players in the program, now they just need to "coach them up". Great post. I do think Poole will be 1st team next year, because there is a lot of talent leaving the conference. I think Evan will lose at least half his minutes next year, if he stays. With Cole, and an improving White, JP will have more options to play at the 2G. Gottfried might even get a little run agaisnt teams that play us zone. I'd be real disappointed if we don't have at least a top 4 finish next year.

Yes, and Iowa State. Playing close to home, but not at home was in Edwins best interest, so we got lucky.

All MAAC teams expected to finish above us lose significant parts next year. Siena can pretty much stand pat and finish top 4 next year with improvement from freshmen - if we can land a few key freshmen, and the freshmen need not be stars- just able to fill “roles” athletic big and back up PG to go along with Cole and Paige- we can challenge for MAAC tittle considering tournament is back in Albany next year

Not sure what's happened. It's hard to believe all of a sudden he's become the focal point that teams are keying on t oshut him down. I'm just attributing it to a funk/pressure that I hope he breaks out of soon. A lot of guys go through this - I remember Kenny had a prolonged one and bounced back.

Cape henry won their third straight title going 21-0. Making the win even more impressive... it was on the road

I love that this kid is on an undefeated team. Winning is a state of mind as well as talent. We need kids from good programs and bring the discipline that comes with being a winner.

Making the win even more impressive... it was on the road I'm beginning to think that perhaps Patsos stole an under the radar kid who fell through the cracks. If you're one of the stars on a nationally ranked H.S. team, you've been doing your thing against some of the best competition and can't be half bad. This quote in that piece is music to my ears. "Paige and Hutton were drilling 3-pointers at will."

Let's hope so. Since he will be sitting pretty much right in front of me, should I bring a stadiometer to get an official Sienahoop.proboards.com measurement of height???
