Paige had 18 points yesterday, 17 in the second half, as Cape Henry cut a 15 point halftime deficit to 2 before finally succumbing to Paul VI. Anybody who isn't excited about having Jimmy at Siena does not know much about basketball, IMHO. You can't argue with that, he went against top level competition including some high major talent and produced, but that hasn't stopped some from questioning Patsos' recruiting of this "unranked" player. It will certainly give Siena another option next year. He doesn't have to come in and dominate, just be able to contribute.

Paige is part of the solution to Siena's three points shooting woes. Him and Oliver should light up the perimeter next season. If they get Brandwijk, that's yet another excellent 3 point shooter.
As for why Paige was not highly ranked as a recruit, a lot of good players fall between the cracks for a variety of reasons. These are the players programs like Siena tend to be loaded with when they win NCAA games. Let's not forget the greatest recruiting class in MAAC history was mostly comprised of such kids. I'll be ecstatic if Paige and Brandwijk comprise Jimmy's second recruiting class given the scholarship situation.

Paige also missed the AAU season last year with an injury. He was actually targeted higher until the injury
