If White does not qualify, we have one,no? That's why I thought Patsos was offering 2014's....now that he claims to be qualified and coming things changed were my thoughts...

Maybe you should aks Jimmy why he is discussing recruits for next year and why he is offering kids scholarships. I can just tell you he said in front of 200 people they are recruiting a really good forward and had been going against JMU for him (which Deane reiterated). I won't mention his name here so the UAlbany and Iona fans don't get all upset. Tapling has been on campus and has reported being offered. Both players would be impact recruits in 2014. I wont be asking Patsos any questions ...maybe he will run Lavon Long off to bring that forward in....is he one of the 2 players you were thinking will leave to bring in the 2014's

We've had at least 6 transfers over the last 3 years (Mitch was part of that reason however...)

The D-I Transfer list eclipsed 500 names this season. To think there may be at least 1 kid on every roster than isn't happy with their role and wants a change isn't outlandish.
Coaches can't really afford to be sitting around not recruiting, even if at the moment you don't have any available. If a kid does decide to leave and you haven't been developing relationships with anyone you're in a world of trouble.
Now if we go out and sign kids in the early signing period without any scholarships available that would certainly not be a good look.

I'm hearing that the staff's top three in the class of 2014 are Kevin Degnan, a 6'7 PF from Pearl River, Willem Branwijk, a 6'9 PF from Holderness, NH School, and Sterling Taplin, a 6'1 G from Williamsville North. With no scholarships to give as of now, it will be interesting to see what happens between now and Mid-November.

Taplin is announcing very soon and lots of Internet rumors that Siena leads. Degnen had a good summer, but we look good along with Fordham, who had made big strides lately in recruiting.

Taplin would have to be truly exceptional in my estimation to take him over Hood. Again, where is/are than any scholarships.

I would love Hood too, is he staying in 14 or moving to 15? Been quit surrounding his recruitment. If JP pulls that off it will be huge

Real question ...can you accept a commitment if you dont have a scholly for them at that time? Technically, teams almost never have a scholarship available when they accept a commitment, since the present team is already using them. They accept as many as they want and work to make room for them.
