Here is another guard we are looking at:
Dimitri Floras (Vermont Academy/Mass Rivals) should be a name on the rising in the upcoming season.
It's tough to be noticed playing alongside Noah Vonleh (New Hampton) and Kaleb Joseph (Cushing) during the summer, but Floras is a key fixture in the Mass Rivals program.
The 6-foot-2 point guard has done an excellent job of getting teammates involved. The former Merrimack High has good ball handling skills and the ability to knock down the open jump shots.
Floras announced in the spring that he will reclassify to the class of 2014 and play at Vermont Academy. Playing in the NEPSAC should add to his growing list of suitors.
According to Next Best Basketball, Boston College, Vermont, Fairfield, UMass, Quinnipiac, New Hampshire, Lehigh, and Siena have all shown interest.

Both Adu and Bisping had heard of us from our NCAA years. I wonder if that is now a distant memory for '14 kids?

Nice article on Kevin Degnan, a nice 6-8 PF from PEarl River we offered:
Last season, 6'8" Kevin Degnan from Rockland, NY made his presence felt during his sophomore season and over the summer months. Now this unique junior has emerged with offers.
Kevin Degnan
For the past four years, the forward played for Pearl River HS where he slowly came into his own. Pearl River's head Coach Jerry Houston spoke with NYCHoops.net about the junior saying, "Kevin is very coordinated and mobile for a big man. He a good perimeter shooter."
This season, the junior says he's checked in with offers from, "Fordham, Siena, Duquesne, and Fairfield have offered me. I went on unofficial visits with Fairfield, Siena, and Fordham," said Degnan.
"Iona, Boston University and Colgate have shown me interest," said the forward.
During the summer months, Degnan played with 16U Frenji travel team and was also selected to play on the Hudson Valley team at Basketball Coaches Association of New York Summer Hoops Festival.
Team Frenji coach Paul Staubi described the forward as unique. "Kevin is unique player. He can go inside and out. He can shoot the three with no problem and dunk the ball. He can post up already. He's just a match-up nightmare."
As the Rockland native continues to develop his game, expect more coaches to line up to take a peek at this big man on the rise.
