We need some to step up to be the Alex Franklin of this team. Franklin tried to dunk on anyone and everyone. Lavon has that potential because he gets his touches at the foul line. Shot fake, 2 dribbles and dunk the ball. I don't know if he is as explosive getting off the floor as Franklin was Alex was not gifted with that lift. He worked his butt off during the off seasons in the gym and travelling to camps. That's why I always had so much respect for him. He came a good player and worked himself to being a great player.

I think If Lavon puts in the same effort and works each off season we could see the same type of year to year improvements. He is very raw but the size, strength and skill set look like they are there. I'm not comparing there game because I think they have as many differences as similarities, but Lavon seems like the same type of hard working young man who plays with a ton of effort and energy like Alex did or does. Having a forward who can work the high post/ FT line extended areas and baseline is so valuable in college basketball. This off season it would be great to see him work on his handle and footwork offensively, and his explosiveness/quickness physically. Going to be fun watching him grow as well as the other freshman and sophomores!
