Hoping we come home unscathed after Iona's loss by 2 to the Griffs on their home floor last night! Not looking forward to facing Armand and English again for sure, but will be there with a bus full of fans to support our young and growing Saints!

Are people heading down for the game? Thinking about heading down for the game since I have to be in Long Island Monday for work. Should be interesting to see attendance with the football games going on.

The fan bus has 47 riders (seats 55). I know some others were planning on driving down independently. We are going to need all the support we can muster!

I'd like to see a fair amount of the 3-2 or 1-2-2 defense we used in the 2nd half last weekend during our run. Extend the zone and make someone other than Armond or English beat us.

The key to this game is to try and limit the offensive runs that Iona goes on. Against Canisius after they fell behind 61-41 they outscored the Griffs 40-15 and then fell apart the last couple minutes, which they are known to do. they also had runs of 18 and 11 pts. Canisius has the scorers to recover from runs like that. Not so sure Siena can withstand runs like that. Would not be surprised to see Patsos call a lot of time outs early to stay close. Key is to be in the game with 5 minutes left where Iona has proven to have a tough time winning close games since they do not play with a true PG.

Should use a 1-2-2 slow 3/4 court slow press back into a 3-2 zone to slow them down...at least til someone starts banging home 3 pointers. Wouldnt try to turn them over or run with them obviously. Make Iona beat themselves and worry about taking care of the ball on offense cause you know you'll get good looks against them if you do

Hope for a competitive game and stay close late and maybe we can steal it...watching Iona up close right on the floor last week they are more athletic than we are and don't need much space to get their shots off. After today the schedule becomes a little more manageable. Teams like Iona, Manhattan and Quinnipiac are tough match-ups for us especially on the road - only Quinnipiac on the road will remain on the schedule.

If Fairfield plays like they did yesterday we will have our hands full.

Our 3pt defense needs to be at the level it was in the Rider game... Patsos will mix up the defensive looks and the zone will be active. Nice to have an extra day to prepare...keys to the game will be fouls as usual along with rebounding. .we have a good chance to win if we dont get in foul trouble early defend the 3pt line and out rebound them.

My guess is nobody really thinks we have a chance today since it is so quiet. The fact is we have our issues but Iona is a .500 team. Therefore, 50/50 chance we win today. Get White involved again like last game, keep Marquis out of foul trouble maybe bring in Wolfe a little earlier, I like our chances.

Monmouth over Canisius. maybe the Saints can pull off the third upset. Agree need white to play well today as well as Long and Wolfe.
