Glass half full guy, I like it. But we really need another ship for next season, talent wise we are a ways away and 2 years from having multiple ships. Hopefully we can get another home streak goin! agree on 2nd ship-- but we are not as far as you think.,.. freshmen will improve.. Patrick Cole is a impact player--Jimmy and many players on team call him best player on team this year in practice I hope so, I honestly can't speak about him because I have never seen him play live but I am hopeful. The biggest set back is how unbalanced the classes are now.

our perimeter D is non-existent. Sorry but that was abysmal from a D standpoint. Some good individual performances but so what. We got crushed from 3. It wasn't like Iona was hitting prayer shots. They were wide the F open. That's disappointing given the performances by several players.

Like JP said - we need shooters , they can get you back in games faster he will get them.. a lot of positives tonight-- freshmen played well as a group in a hostile environment. Wright was his normal self and Lavon had his best game in a long time

First look of any kind at the game and the box score tells me it was another great shooting night (13-27) from beyond the arc for the Gaels. Surprising they only had 9 turnovers again. That's impressive with how fast they play. We outrebounded them by 19, and only had 13 turnovers. GREAT numbers, but the 3-9 from beyond the arc makes it difficult to mount comebacks with no deep shooters.
Freshman played real well, and obviously Hymes did too. He's been a great spark off the bench for us.

But that's really it. You don't NEED it to have a great team (look at our great teams from 2007-2010 we never shot a ton of 3's) but it is an important weapon to have in today's college game. Most here thought we likely were going 1-3 in this stretch of games...the team battled back hard today. That's all you can ask for right now. If we keep the focus and continue to get better the wins will come especially at home. We all knew we were going to take our lumps this season but if it pays off the next 3-4 years (fingers are crossed) it will be well worth it.

I don't know what his deal is but Poole has been short on the majority of his shots the past two games. Is he tired? Is he fading away on most shots? Something is up. Team cut it to 4 a number of times and generally made a bone headed play/poor shot selection/missed layup and we're never able to clear that hurdle.
How many layups did siena miss tonight? Tough to beat a team when you can't shoot layups better than they shoot 3s. Hymes ... good offensive game. Usual poor defensive game. Poole really looked off and Bisping showed that he struggles against good conference opponents who know his game.
Team is lacking talent and experience. Not much more to say other than I expect a bit more success against the next stretch and let's hope Patsos can fill the holes remaining.

It is a problem, it's been probably the most frustrating part of our losses. It will get better and they will execute better. It's continued hard work and maturation.

We need some to step up to be the Alex Franklin of this team. Franklin tried to dunk on anyone and everyone. Lavon has that potential because he gets his touches at the foul line. Shot fake, 2 dribbles and dunk the ball.

If LL could limit his fouls and stay in the game he could have a Franklinesque, I like the word, career.

I would always tell my wife he doesn't get the credit he deserves, I don't think he cared. We need players like him. Talent wise I don't see anyone on this team yet that can fill his shoes.

Have patience -- these guys are freshmen they will get stronger. Franklin wasn't dunking on everyone his freshmen season.. and as a freshmen if you touched Ubiles he missed a lay up by his sophomore year he was dunking them. One of biggest jumps is between freshmen and sophomore year- all these kids will get much stronger- its not like they are standing under basket alone and missing layups- it is always in traffic.
