White is in the Faison/Archbold/Hasbrouck mold in toughness and tenacity. Will be a fan favorite. Of all those coming in, he is the one that I was most interested in. Not because the others arent talented but moreso the first player since Kenny to have that edge and ability to step up at key moments. Fearless on the floor, no matter who they are playing. Savage defender. The team needs a player with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder. White is that player. Wright is key to the whole proess, the floor general etc Long is the versatile player that creates mismatches all over the floor White gives this team identity, toughness and that swagger. remember these three names as they will be spoken of as the next "big three" All three should play HUGE minutes. Even if we struggle at times it will pay off big time down the road with the experience they'll get. Our best line-up might be 4 freshmen (Wright, White, Long, JO) and Poole. Don't think Jimmy will start 4 frosh at least early in the season but don't be surprised if that's the starting 5 at the end of the season and into 2014-15. The freshman all bring something to the table...as you mentioned White's toughness and defense. Long is very athletic and versatile. Wright is a true PG who can run the offense and control the game. And JO has the potential to be a very skilled big man. Wolfe will be a good player for us too but it will likely be down the road.

All 3 of them are very good… I will add another Pat Cole can flat out play. He does have some shot selection issues if he can straighten them out he is going to be very good for us. Also Wolfe and JO are both very talented, but like most big men in the MAAC may take a year or two to develop- the future is bright for the Saints. This year is going to be a lot of fun, although because we are so young and face such a difficult schedule I expect a lot of ups and downs I suspect Cole's shot selection issues were due to the fact that he was one of the few on a poor team to provide offense most of the time it seems - and he was only a freshman to boot. It was a situation Hymes often found himself in under the old offense scheme. At Siena Cole have lots of help on offense, so he won't feel like it's all on him and will make better choices. I expect the same for Hymes.

I really like these frosh but we never learn. We overrate our freshmen every year.
To say our best lineup is 4 frosh before they've even played a D1 game is incredibly bold and delusional. We have no idea how well any of these guys are going to shoot, defend, rebound, or if we'll be able to take care of the ball.
With that said, I predict a MAAC championship.

. We overrate our freshmen every year. Slight correction- you overate the freshmen every year. I guess you want to be a contrarian this year. Light years difference in quality of this freshmen class and anything we have seen in last 3 years under PW.

Can't argue with you-- you do it well I see it as my duty to keep Siena fans on an even keel. I'm the head PR man.

I dont recall many people prediting the last couple of classes as world-beaters. In fact, most saw the talent level coupled with inept coaching going down hill.

watching pickup....White, Wright,Long,Oliver, and Bisping on the same team and won every game...White started off slow then hit 3 3's in a row....The 3 freshman look good together ...getting familiar
Cole is playing like a pg slowing it down dominating the ball on the other team.. I have no idea what position he will play on this team...he gets buckets and shares the ball...needs to improve motor
Poole and Oliver a draining J's and Wright's shot looks pretty good too...
Watched Hopper for the first time since recruiting trip and I dont want to pile on but I see where the frustration comes from
Silas is working hard I think he will be fine when he learns the system but JO is breathing down his back...that High top makes JO look 6'10
I lost my camara last time I was here so no film now or from before....hope you enjoyed what I did have to offer

I think the one team wins every time because they have the true point guard.

I think the one team wins every time because they have the true point guard. Marist went 36-49 in Jared Jordan's first three years, it takes more than just a true point guard to win.

Likely Cole, Audu, Poole, JO, Silas vs. Wright, Oliver, White, Long, Bisping Team 2 obviously has the better ballhandling. Cole, Audu, JO, and Silas are probably the 4 most prone to turnovers on the team and they are playing together. You have much better ballhandling and defense on Wright's team. Even Bisping is way less likely to turn it over compared to the other bigs.
