Friends with JO on twitter and he has changed his listed profile of Siena Basketball and just Lists Troy High Basketball. May be a sign of things to come.

I have to think Jimmy can sell himself to the family if Mitch did. Hope he still committs but, if not, our new coach has another scholly to use.

Kids make brash decisions in the heat of the moment. He also made a flippant comment on Twitter at the time of announcement that was since deleted - it's natural to have a knee-jerk reaction to big news such as this.
I am sure Coach Patsos (feels weird to type that for the first time) will have an opportunity to sit Javion down and discuss where his place on this team could be.

or it could be that related to the speculation that Patsos will be bringing Long with him???

I think Long is more of a "3" than a '4." But didn't his momma post somewhere that he was a PG? JO might be hearing voices saying he should shot higher. But stay home and be a local hero

Yeah I am not surprised that a young student athlete may struggle with a transition like this but once Jimmy has a chance to sit down with JO and his mom, if it is still a good fit he'll be wearing the Green & Gold and if not we should all wish him the best...

I agree, nolesaint. I do think his Mom wants him to keep his commitment, but everyone needs to do what is best for their own situation. Coach Patsos did say during the interview he likes the idea of having a local kid and he outlined his plan for the 'new beginning' very clearly. Whatever JO and his family decide, as well as the Jiggets family, best of luck and good health to all!

Jimmy will lock down JO again - should be a layup.

Who watched Troy this year?
Did they play "fast tempo" offense or did they play "half court" offense?

They played pretty up-tempo IMO. If JO's Mom likes Jimmy *and per R. Hurley she did, he isn't going anywhere but Siena- again IMHO.
